▌ 𝐀𝐈𝐋𝐄𝐄𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐘 were brought back to the house after the incident. Dudley walked in, shivering.
Vernon shoved the twins inside and grabbed both Harry and Aileen's hair.
"What happened?" Vernon asked in anger. "I swear, we don't know!" Aileen exclaimed as she winced at the force pulling on her hair. "One minute, the glass was there, then the next minute it was gone. It was like magic!" Harry followed.
Vernon then shoved the two into the cupboard and locked the small door.
"There's no such thing as magic." Vernon said.
He then walked away, leaving the twins locked inside of the cupboard in the dark.
Aileen sighed.
"Well, this sucks." She muttered. "Tell me about it." Harry answered. "I wish they could just treat us better." Aileen spoke. "Exactly." Harry replied. "I'm glad I have you." Aileen voiced with a smile. "I'm glad I have you too." Harry smiled back.
━━━
The next day came, and Aileen and Harry woke up and walked to the living room.
They saw that Dudley was posing as Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon took photos of him in his ridiculous uniform.
"Will we have to wear that too?" Harry questioned. Aileen knew that their aunt and uncle would never send them to a fancy school.
Vernon and Petunia turned to look at them.
"You both? Go to Smeltings?" Petunia questioned with a little chuckle.
Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon started laughing their heads off like Harry just said the funniest thing in the world.
Aileen rolled her eyes.
"Don't be stupid. You both are going to the state school where you belong." Petunia said as she walked over to the stove.
"These are your uniforms when I finish dying them."
"But that's Dudley's old uniform, and that's a random uniform that you found at the thrift store." Aileen complained. "Those won't even fit us."
"They will fit you well enough." Petunia snapped. "Go get the post."
As Aileen and Harry walked over to get the post, Aileen stopped for a moment.
"You look ridiculous in that." She said to Dudley before walking off.
They picked it the envelopes and papers that were on the ground and looked through them.
Suddenly, as they looked through them, they saw two envelopes that read, "Ms. A. Potter" and "Mr. H. Potter." Including their address. Above the address, it read, "The Cupboard Under The Stairs."
Harry and Aileen found that odd. Who would send them something like that?
They were also confused because they never got anything from the post.
They took the pile to Uncle Vernon but kept holding onto the letters that were sent to them.
They went to open the envelopes, but Dudley bolted out of his chair and snatched the letters out of their hands.
"Look! Aileen and Harry got letters!" He shouted as he ran back over to Uncle Vernon.
"Hey! Give it back!" Aileen shouted. "It's ours!" Harry said.
Petunia made her way over. "Who would be writing to you?" Vernon asked. Vernon, Dudley, and Petunia were next to each other as Vernon flipped the envelopes around to see the back of them.
The twins didn't see what they saw, but they had shocked expressions on their faces as they looked at each other. "What is it?" Aileen questioned as to why they looked so shocked.
━━━
Day after day, they would still get the letters in the post, but Uncle Vernon would always tear them apart.
He even drilled wood onto the post slip to stop the letters from coming in. The twins wanted to know why they didn't want those letters being sent to them so badly.
It all had gotten worse when they started finding them in all sorts of places around the house, and owls would surround the house as they dropped letters.
Aunt Petunia found multiple hidden inside of the eggs she uses for cooking and baking.
Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia started to get frustrated.
One night, Aileen and Harry found Vernon putting some in the fireplace to burn.
"Fine day, Sunday." Vernon spoke as everyone sat in the living room quietly. "In my opinion, best day of the week. Why is that, Dudley?"
Dudley went to answer, but Aileen and Harry beat him to it. "Because there's no post on Sundays." They voiced in unison. "Right you are, kids." Vernon smiled. He then grabbed a cookie from the plate that Aileen and Harry were holding.
The twins look over to see an owls shadow through the curtain.
They walked over and opened the curtains to peek through and see what was going on.
What they did not expect was to see a huge crowd of owls outside of the house. "Why are there so many owls?" Aileen whispered.
The twins heard a thump coming from behind them. They turned around to see that an envelope had hit Uncle Vernon.
They all felt the house begin to shake.
Pretty soon, a bunch of envelopes had come in through the fireplace very quickly. It's probably as fast as a cheetah running.
While Dudley, Vernon, and Petunia were scared of the sudden moment, Harry and Aileen jumped around to try and catch an envelope.
They both caught one and ran off.
Vernon chased after them.
"Give me those letters!" He shouted as he chased after the two.
When he caught up to them, he tackled the twins for the letters as more letters came flying in through the mail slip, causing the wood that was covering it to fall.
Aileen heard Vernon say something about leaving far away from here so they couldn't find them.
