(Y/n P.O.V)

The loud sound of beeping made you stir in your deep slumber. The sudden sting of pain made you wince and let out a deep hum. Your digits twitched and you reached up to your helm, then mentally sighed in relief when you felt your cloak pulled above your faceplates.

You tried to recall what happened. You knew you were in the Medbay, but why? It was probably your helm, it hurt like it was burned by six scorching suns. The sudden sound of pedesteps made you drop your arm to your side and pretend to still be in a complete slumber.

"Easy Enfield Primus, relax...their vitals are just fine but they'll be out of commission for a while, probably confined to here or Shockwave's lab." Knockout's flamboyant voice rang out.

Who you could only guess was Enfield hummed beside Knockout and came up to you, then traced one of her digits along your hood.

"Speaking of their vitals, what in the slag happened out there?" The medic asked.

"We were setting up bombs that we were going to use to blow the Autobots inside Arachnid's ship, which it did work but..Arcee noticed what was happening and caught Y/n off guard so they activated the detanator, and they were in the way."

Knockout approached you as well, and began to type into a datapad. Or at least, you thought it was a datapad.

"Well, they took quite the hit to the helm."

You decided you had heard enough, and stirred, catching the attention of the two. You groaned as your protoform screamed at you to stop moving as you sat upright. You rubbed your helm and faceplates before you online your optics and looked around.

You pulled your knees closer to your chassis and groaned again. You were indeed in the Medbay, with two tubes of life support connected to your chassis. You shifted into a more comfortable position and looked to Knockout and Enfield.

"Did it work?" You asked, and Enfield deadpanned.

"You suffered a severe concussion, nearly died, and you're concerned whether we got the Autobots or not?" She demanded, and you shrugged.

"Yeah." You stated simply, and Enfield sighed, pinching in-between her optics.

"You know what I can't be mad at you I'd do the same." She stated, then sighed.

That's when you realised that the whole mission was kind of a failure. The whole goal was to find Starscream's whereabouts, and get him back on his pedes and into the Decepticon ranks once more. You looked to Enfield who was glancing at your vitals. You had failed your friend, you wouldn't let that happen again.

Before you could confront Enfield the Medbay door opened with a hiss. The three of you looked over to see the familiar form of the slender figure of Soundwave approaching. You stirred. You didn't want to seem weak in front of your superior. And maybe a friend. A voice chimed in your helm. The pain seemed to subside as the TIC entered and turned to Knockout who pointed to your vitals. Soundwave's visor eerily gazed at it.

"They'll be out of commission and confined to the Nemesis for a while, but they'll live, they just need time."

Soundwave nodded, and Knockout then shooed out Enfield and Soundwave to let you rest, though you immediately felt uncomfortable. You would be alone. Enfield noticed this queasy expression on your faceplates and you looked at her pleadingly. Enfield then tapped Soundwave on his rectangular arm and he looked at your uneasy expression.

He paused, then ejected his own Minicon, Laserbeak. The bird Con chirped a couple times before gliding over to you and landing on your lap. Your unease subsided and you stroked the wings of Laserbeak who trilled happily. Knockout seemed satisfied with this and shooed everyone out before leaving you to rest. You then settled back down and offline your optics, then fell into stasis with Laserbeak in your arms.
