Glimpses of the past

Ro took a pillow and went to Jaddu's room. He knocked the door. A sleepy figure opened the door after a while..

"Roo.. what are you doing here?" He said with a hoarse voice

"Bhai.. can I sleep with you.. I'm kind of scared to sleep alone"

"Ohh" Jaddu didn't say anything for a while

"Can I bhai ?" Ro asked hopefully

"Yes.. come inside"

They both settled on the bed. Jaddu tried to turn off the light.

"Bhai I'm afraid of darkness. Can we keep it on?" Ro asked innocently. Jaddu felt uneasy again

"Yeah sure.." He closed his eye to sleep.

"Bhai you know. I have Nyctophobia. Which means I'm scared of dark" Ro told him after sometimes and a voice from past said same thing to Jaddu.

(This is called Nyctophobia bhai. I'm sacred of dark) Jaddu dint want to think further. He turn to Ro's side.

"Rohit.. be a good boy and sleep. No more talks ok"

"Ok bhai. But can I hold your hand ?"

"Why is that ?"

"This is a stormy night. Which means there will be a power outage. I don't want to get....."

"FOR GOD SAKE. STOP KEEP REMINDING ME OF HIM" Jaddu lost it at the end.

Rohit got started.

"Why are you screaming bhai. Please stop" He covered his ears.

Jaddu got up from the bed and tried to go out.

"Bhai.. don't go please. I will not say anything"

Jaddu paid no attention and left the room.

"Bhai I'm scared. Bhai come back" Ro hid his face in his lap and cried.

On the other hand Jaddu went out under the rain. He ran and ran.

"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS TO ME? Why it is hard to forget you " He screamed to the dark.

After a while Jaddu realized his surrounding is darker than before. Yes Ro's guess is right there was a power outage. "Oh my god. Ro is alone in the room"

He ran as fast as he could. The room was pitch black. Jaddu turned on the torch in the phone. He could see a trembling figure on the bed hiding his face in his knees. Jafdu couldn't help but hug him. Ro tried to wiggle away.

"Roo its me. I'm sorry "

"No..... go away. You left me...." His voice was shaking

"I'm sorry I will never do that again please forgive me." Jad tighten his grip around Ro

Ro finally hugged him back. He hid his face in the crock of Jad's neck. Jaddu stayed like this.

"Please don't shout at me bhaiya. I'm sacred of loud noices "

"I will never "

Ro slept after some times in Jaddu's embrace. Jaddu was awake all the night in case if Ro get a nightmare.

Ro woke up early. It is usual for those kind of days. He saw Jad is sleeping peacefully next to him. He was caged between those strong arms. Ro couldn't help but stare at Jad's face.

"Done with your staring game ?" Jaddu open his eyes slowly.

"I was not. Move I want to go " Ro got up and went out hurriedly. Jaddu was smiling looking at the way he left. He join the practices late on purpose. Ro was talking with Vi.
