Chapter 3 - sleepover

I can't believe that in one week from now, I'll be at the school's sleepover and after 2 days from that at the halloween party Jules will host.

I actually want my costume to be a surprise and Jules is begging me to tell her what it is but I don't give in.

It has been a few weeks since the incident, and everyday is practically the same, school detention, going to my dorm, gossip with Jules, sleep, repeat.

I am in detention right now and I'm bored out of my mind.

Danny is sitting behind me, writing something, probably something dumb.

Suddenly, I feel Danny messing with my chair and I turn around to look at him.

"What do you want?" I whisper, looking back at Mrs Smith, who's totally unbothered and on her phone.He smirks at me and hands me a piece of paper.

I take it from his hand and I open it.

'What are you doing right now, besides being bored out of your mind like me?'

Really?

I scoff and write at the piece of paper.

'Your mom.'

I turn around again and hand it to him, I look at him as he looks at me after reading my response.

He writes again on the paper and hangs it to me.

' :o Come on Selina, I thought we were friends.'

I smirk and write my response.

'Anyway are you going to the sleepover next Friday after the game?'

Mrs Smith still doesn't say anything to us although she has probably caught up on us by now.

'Yeah, you? I hope you are, we can sneak around like we used to in September.'

I look at the note, I don't know how to respond to that.

'Maybe, probably if Jules is going.' I finally write.

I don't know if I can or want to go out with Danny that way and he doesn't seem to pick up my signals that I don't want him like that anymore.

I mean we were messing around and all but now? I see him as a friend. He probably only wants me for my appearance anyway.

I hand the note back to Danny and from the corner of my eye I see Michael seeing us and raising his hand.

Mad I have friends or what dude?

Mrs Smith nods at him and he lowers his hand."Selina and Danny are passing notes." He glares at me.

You son of a-

Mrs Smith walks over at us and then, the bell starts ringing.

"You two are lucky, detention is over." She turns around."But-" Michael says but quickly shuts up.

Danny laughs and we both exit the classroom where detention was held.

"That was a close call." Danny looks over at me."Yeah, fuck Michael." I turn around to see Michael exiting the classroom.

"So, what are you going to be for halloween?" Danny smirks at me. "It's a surprise" I smile at him."Ohh, okay okay" he winks at me.

"SELINAAA !! GET YOUR PRETTY ASS OVER HERE !!"Jules shouts at me as I enter the room where the 'sleepover' will be held.
