Chapter 9- A not so broken nose

"MICHAEL? WHAT THE FUCK?!" I hear from behind me and as I turn to face the person yelling, a fist connects with my face.

Fuck.

You are probably wondering how I ended up in this situation, well let me tell you. Last week I was at a halloween party, many things happened, I finally made up with Selina and as any teenager at a party, I got drunk. And as any drunk idiot would do, I did something some would say stupid.

I danced with one of friend's sister. Younger sister. And she kissed me.

It looks bad but, I honestly thought it was a random chick from another school, but no, I'm not that lucky.

Now back to where we left off.

Danny's fist connects with my face and I take a step back, I look at him angrily and punch his nose, he holds his now bloody nose and looks at me furiously. "Dude that was my younger sister what were you thinking?!" He yells before he grabs my shoulder trying to push me down. "I didn't know!" I yell back trying to keep my balance and not fall down. He pushes me into the lockers, his eyes full of anger. "Why are you so involved in the women in my life? First Selina, now my sister?? What's next my mom?!" He punches my face again.

This time the punch lands on my nose. I swear a small crack can be heard when he punches it, I look around for Jake to help me but the asshole just stands there. I make eye contact with my so called friend and he immediately goes to take Danny off of me.

"Hey! Hey! man calm down!!"Jake grabs Danny's shoulders and pulls him away from me. "Mike I better not see you again close to my sister. Next time I won't be so nice about it." He glares at me.

Oh shit. This is such a huge misunderstanding.

"Mike I'll go with him to calm him down okay?" Jake's says before grabbing Danny's upper arm and drags him towards the boy dorms.

I stand there like an idiot, my nose still running with blood. I decide to go towards the dinning room at such an hour. Most students have activities now.

When I enter the dinning room in hopes to run into one of my friends but to my surprise there was Selina with her headphones on watching a show while eating a sandwich all alone.

I decide to go to her, she doesn't notice me going to her so I gently rest my hand on her shoulder"Hey A.F.N.B" she turns around removing her headphones and gets up when she sees my face.

"God what happened to you?!" She touches my face. "I'll explain later. " I avoid her gaze and she rest her hand on my chest for a while before she pulls it away. "I have a first aid kit in my dorm.. Jules is still in swimming practice so.." She says and stuffs her phone in her pocket. "Okay.. Follow me.."

I follow her to her dorm and wow.

It is decorated very nicely. She has 1 white pillow and 2 small pink ones and white sheets, lots of polaroid pictures of her and Jules are on the wall. Most of them were probably taken before and during the halloween party, they have 2 desks, one is clean and has a make up on the side, the other has a lot of books and different colour papers and a messy pencil case on it, kind of messy of a desk. It has a picture of what I'm assuming is Selina and her dad on halloween night, her dressed up as a chicken.

Their closet doesn't take much room but is still pretty big, it is white and has a small mirror on the left side of it.

Selina rests me on her bed and goes to get the first aid kit. I wait for her and look over at the small desk between her and Jules' bed at the cute black and white clock.

Mhm the time is a bit off, it's 23 minutes earlier.

"Hey.. How about you tell me what happened while I clean you up." She smiles at me and sits down next to me.

I tell her all about the fight and how I unintentionally met her in the dinning room.
"Woah.. That was.. unexpected."She grabs her bag and takes out 3 bandages. I look at her as she puts one on my knuckles, her eyes focused on my hand. The only wound she hasn't cleaned up was on lips, but for some reason she can't take her eyes off them when I'm talking. Do I have something on my teeth?

"Yeah.." I look over at her desk. "Jake is such a bitch for leaving you alone. He should have gone with you not with Danny." I look back at her. "Yeah I kind of agree with you on this." I chuckle , "Well, here's something we agree on!" She laughs. She suddenly touches my face and looks like she's about to kiss me- but she cleans the wound on my lips instead. "Now.. Don't talk." She smiles at me.

I don't move as she cleans up my hurt lip, I just stare at her. "Okay this may hurt a little." She says and I wince.

"You should go to the nurse for the nose. I am not a doctor you know." She gets up from the bed. "Yeah. I will don't worry A.F.N.B."  I smirk at her, "I won't dickhead." She crosses her arms smiling.

"Uh.. I guess I should get going." I say. I needed to get out of her dorm before Jules comes, who the hell knows where she is anyway?

The door opens just then, Jules appears with her pink gym bag. "What the fuck is he doing here? " Jules stares at me disgusted. "Long story.. He was just leaving don't worry. I will tell you later." Selina goes closer to the door. "Mhm.. Okay.." she side eyes me and gets inside.

"Bye ladies." I say and get out of the room while Jules slams the door at me as soon as I get out. "WHAT THE FUCK?!" I hear her yell at Selina.

I get out of there before I get my ass beat by Jules and go to the nurse.

"Oh my.. Who beat you up boy??" The nurse says as soon as she sees me. "And who cleaned you up? That is some nice work done here." She says, her accent slipping slightly. "Uh.. I fell?" I try to cover up the fact someone beat me up. "No you didn't." She goes to the desk to get her tools.

"Okay nothing seems broken.." She says after checking up for any broken bones. "You are good to go." She pats me on my shoulder and I get up.

I leave the room thanking her and go to my dorm.

"I'm sorry." Jake says as I enter the room and I flip him off. "Whatever man." I sit down on my bed kicking off my shoes.

Jake doesn't say anything else and sits on his bed with his headphones on, I just stare on the ceiling and think about today.

How I got into a fight with Danny, how I found Selina and how she helped me without me asking for her help, now just sitting in my dorm thinking.

I can't sleep. It's 1 am in the morning and I can't sleep. I look over at Jake who is fast asleep.

"Fuck" I sigh and get up, I throw on a jacket and take my lighter and cigarettes.

I get out of my dorm and go on the school football field and sit on the bleachers.

Fuck the cameras, I'll have to delete the footage of me getting out in the morning.

I notice someone not too far away from me and go to them.

Selina? Why do I keep finding her?

"Why are you here in such an hour?" I go behind her, she jumps at hearing my voice and turns around. "You startled me!" She gets up. I shrug and sit next to her. "You want one A.F.N.B?" I pass her my cigarette pack.

"No thanks I have my own. What I need is a stupid lighter." She sits down again and drops 2 rocks she was holding. "Were you trying to light up your cigarette.. with rocks?" I try not to laugh. "Yes shut up." She crosses her arms. "So smart of you." I laugh and she hits my shoulder.

"Wow calm down tiger." I smirk at her and she rolls her eyes.

"Whatever asshole." She turns her head the opposite way but I can see she tries not to smile.

"Here." I hand her my lighter smiling.

"Thanks." She takes it.
