Plot/Backstory:
Civeema was born on Carraya IV, a Klingon prison camp where the Romulans and Klingons became friends, Civeema's mother was a Romulan guard there, her father was a Klingon prisoner, Civeema's parents moved to Earth with her when she was two years old, her father died six months later. When Civeema was an Ensign, she was saved from Cardassian soldiers by Commander Chakotay causing her to defect to the Maquis.
When Civeema is 24 years old she and the other Maquis get trapped 70,000 light years from Federation Space, with a Federation Starship, Voyager, where Civeema is granted the field rank of Lieutenant and becomes the Chief Science Officer.
After an incident, that causes B'Elanna and Civeema to be split in half, Civeema finds comfort from Tom, which later causes them the rekindle their old relationship, a year later (with some help from the EMH, because Klingon/Human pregnancies need to help to actually conceive.) Tom and Civeema's daughter, Tsarlala is born.
