The warm sun would shine through the cracks of the red matte cobweb covered cobwebs. Begrudgingly getting out of bed, he was tired, he was exhausted and especially weak from the previous night. The house felt a lot cleaner and safer, but it was still in a big mess. Having completely forgotten about the pill and the note he decided to take a day for himself and clean up the place, now that all the ink and the creature was nowhere to be felt or seen. Swiftly getting out of bed he would put on a fresh pair of clothing; he had a nice sweater and some pants he could use and a nice shirt to wear. Making his way down to the kitchen he did not feel the need to eat before cleaning the place up. Grabbing a broom and a wet cloth, the cleaning would have begun.
After many hours of soaking cloths and brushing and brooming down the house, it would be as clean as it could be. The home was fresh, and the curtains would let in large amounts of warm sunlight. The lights were shut out due to him not being able to afford it, but none of that would bother him. The only things about the darkness that had bothered him ever were the creatures, the paranoia, and her voice. With one of the creatures gone there was not much to worry about at this point, then came the striking idea that he had forgotten the pill. Running upstairs to get his last days coat. There it was in the closet. Hopefully he had not lost the pill, it was the only way he could meet his wife and the strange Wilhelm. Putting his hand inside the coat's pockets he would grab the pill by putting it in the middle of his tongue to swallow it swiftly.
And so began the void to take over his eyes, it all went dark, a small thud could be heard and felt throughout the house from the fall of Thompson. The void was short lived, and then the cold hard metal surface had hit his back. He was inside a frozen over facility, there were icicles and dehydrated blood splatters all over the place. Pipes were burst and rust had overgrown the place. It seemed to be an old laboratory, but then he noticed it, a poster on the wall. A true oddity it was. "Stand by the Titan's power, JOIN TODAY!" It felt familiar. . . but he could not recall seeing it somewhere, but it was familiar at that. The poster had a white giant robot with a large chest and in the middle of the chest was a golden symbol it seemed like Chinese or Japanese, but it was really hard to tell since Thompson didn't know either of the languages.Behind him a familiar raspy voice could be heard, it was Wilhelm inside of the very same Titan machinery or robot whatever it was. The echoes of Wilhelms voice were going through the whole room, but it quickly faded away. A small trail of yellow liquid could be found on the ground that had seemingly drawn arrows. The arrows were pointing towards a part in the facility. Not thinking much of it he would follow them out of pure curiosity. The facility was cold and silent, only the sounds of the inner humming coming from somewhere deep in the facility and the sounds of cockroaches crawling could be heard as well. But there it was, the rotting corpse of a worker in the facility laid on the ground before him, but it did not seem human, it was covered in fleshy tentacles and a strange fungus. It had grown into the wall as heavy breathing could be heard from its weak and withered mouth. Thompson continued to follow the yellow arrows on the ground as more and more of this strange flesh would appear as tendrils and growths on the wall.
Thompson had never seen something like this, there can't be any plant in the whole world that looks and lives like this. And then it hit him, a strong pain in his whole body it felt like he was being hit with a ray of death, but it was in fact extreme amounts of radio waves bouncing off a corpse in the facility. The whole place was beaming with radiation but then the pain had converted into energy. It was almost like Thompson was a direct magnet to the radiation in the facility. The radiation made him stronger has he felt a growth in the middle of his ribcage glow.
Quickly after the glowing it would become bright, a wave of energy and a painful scream would be sent out of the body of Thompson as the fleshy infestation on the walls would be repelled. Thompsons coat and shirt would be burning but it did not hurt as much from the beam. With sweat coming down his head and out of his body, his heart would be pounding heavily. Never having felt this strong and refreshed before, Thompson would continue following the yellow markings on the ground. They got drier and dried up further into the facility. Eventually these arrows would lead to a giant elevator pit covered in scratch marks, and holes almost seeming like punches into the wall.
Believing in his own strength, Thompson would jump down into the pit seeing how deep it was and hoping that he would get out unharmed. The dusty air would whoosh past him as the ground under him would get closer and closer as the ground would shatter as the cement floor would be flying up around him as it quickly fell back down. Infront of Thompson was a small corridor full of doors and at the end of one of the corridors was a hole. The radiation levels were rising making Thompson glow slightly. The flesh on the walls was plentiful, it was almost like a hivemind, but the ice in the facility made it seem like it had gone into hibernation, but at the very core of all these veins near the hole at the end of the corridor, there was a large mountain of ice still creating a thick fog of cold air.
Inside this mass of ice there it was, the machine that contained Wilhelm Frick and all the people experimented on him, as well as a fleshy yellow snake beaming with radiation frozen by all the ice. Thompson was set on freeing Wilhelm as his voice got clearer and clearer as he got closer to the machine. "I will set you free Wilhelm no matter what it takes, I need to get my wife back!" Thompson shouted as he began charging up another energy wave within him. Quickly a flash of yellow light would begin to make the ice melt but then it all went dark.
Waking up in his room Thompsons chest would be glowing heavily as his heart was beating powerfully. It was almost like Thompson had had a nightmare but there she stood. She came out from the inky void as she was extremely pale and almost perfectly white, but he recognized her features. She came out forward towards him as Wilhelm would come out of the void as well, but he was full of pigmentation. "You have set me free Thompson; I will retrieve your wife from the void. Have no worries. But another pill is awaiting you once you take the next dosage you will be able to start saving her alongside me. I'm arriving on a plane in a few days. The Americans won't be able to stop me so it would not take long." said Wilhelm as Thompsons wife would hold out a note beside him. Getting out of the bed to grab the note Thompson would nod. "Thank you, I hope we can save her soon, it's been far too long." Thompson said sentimentally as a small tear would shed from his face excited to meet Wilhelm and save his wife.
Every day he strives closer to the truth.
