5 YEARS LATER

STARING blankly at the four concrete walls enclosing the tight space, she flicked her eyes up at the single ceiling light. Which shined directly down to provide subtle light along the females body that sat beneath it. The face exuding nothing but emptiness, hands folded within one another around the grey jumpsuit that clad to her skin, separating her from the fellow inmates who wore the typical orange suit. She had always liked to be alone, but nothing to this extent was her intention of being alone.

"Holloway..." Her dark orbs remained forward, staring at the cement wall that sat in front of her. She heard the footsteps growing near, the body approaching, and the keys working to unlock the cell, but she didn't move an inch. Hearing the sound of the door opening, she huffed in frustration.

"I don't have time today, let's go." That didn't move her either, as she wasn't fazed by the sudden disdain the guard gained from her lack of movement. There was no point in getting up to do her religious routine she's been doing for the past 5 years. It was pointless. Her eyes squeezing shut as her patience was wearing thin with the unwanted presence of the guard.

"Holloway-"

"I heard you the first time, so please shut the hell up and get out, thanks." Her voice boomed, it was harsh and laced with anger like it has been for the last 5 years. She had no regards for who she was speaking to, nobody got a different side of her except her father, who regularly got on her nerves, as most parents do.

"You're leaving princess, get up." Her eyes snapped over to the male guard that stood at the entrance of her cell. He challenged her stare, but he was internally throwing up a million times. She was intimidating to say the least, seeing as how calm a convicted murderer was. She stared right back at the male, reading the look of fear he had in his eyes. She knew he was scared of her, just like she knew everyone in the facility was intimidated by her. No matter how big or small they were, everyone knew exactly who she was. Everything remained the same, no matter if she was on the inside or outside.

Standing up from the cold mattress, her eyes bounced around the room, bringing her back to all the memories within the past 5 years of being stuck their. She turned on her heels, her eyes never leaving the guard whose badge read Lucas. If it was up to her, she would've preferred a female officer to release her, but she was getting released either way.. so it was a win-win situation.

Gently grabbing her arm, he led her out of her cell and down the long hallway. She looked upon her fellow cellmates as they passed by. Some women had looks of joy and pride while others had envious looks due to their belief that she wasn't deserving of gaining freedom.
