South England, 1492

Full moon was upon us and I have thought of a plan to save the girl. It was dark and everyone was already asleep. This meant I could sneak out of the castle without being noticed. I left the estate and went to a small house a few miles away. When I got there, I knocked on the door. An older woman opened it, obviously surprised to see me.

"Lady Zariah?"

"Where's Trevor?" I got to the point and tried to look inside to see if he was there

"I'm here. To what do I owe this pleasure?" he appeared behind the woman

"Let me in." I said firmly

I could have compelled the woman but assuming by the bite marks on her neck. I believe Trevor already compelled her to don't invite anyone in. Trevor nodded at the woman.

"Please come in." she said and moved aside

I quickly entered the house and I went into a larger room where I saw another vampire by the name of Rose. She was slightly older and wiser than Trevor. That's why I knew she will be smart and will do the right thing.

"You brought her here, you take her out of here." I demanded and pointed at Trevor

"What are you talking about?" Rose asked confused

"About Katerina. You will help her escape from here."

"Why should we help you?" Trevor asked and leaned against a wall

I vamped towards him and pinned him to the wall. I stuck my hand into his chest ready to rip it out at any given moment.

"Or else your loved one will die at the hands of Klaus, Trevor. You help her or you have nothing to live for." I threatened him and felt his heart pulsating in my hand.

"Why don't you help her?" gasped the young vampire

I squeezed my hand, crushing his heart. I could just tear it out at any time.

"Because I won't go against Klaus."

It was true I won't anger Klaus. If he finds out Katerina disappeared he would be angry enough. But if he finds out his family had anything to do with it, he will raise hell on earth and I'm certain that he will find a way to put me in a box right beside Finn.

"You're smart, Rose." I turned to her. "Would you rather help her and live or die? The decision is yours. You have time until the next full moon. And if anyone finds out that I have anything to do with this, I will tear your heads off with my bare hands."

I took my hand from Trevor chest and he almost fell to the ground gasping for air. I took one last look at them and went back to the castle.

To go to my room, I had to pass the office where Elijah would often study. As I walked past the room it turned out that Elijah and Klaus were also wide awake. I took a deep breath and tried to sneak past the open door like nothing happened.

"Is everything alright? Why aren't you asleep." The older brother called about to me

I turned around on my heel and entered the office.

"I was hungry. You always keep telling me that we have to feed at night so that no one sees us." I quickly thought of a lie to tell

"I'll go now." I started heading towards the exit

"Zariah!" Klaus called after me and I stopped

"Kol sent a letter. He won't be joining us in the full moon ritual in two days. But I already have a wolf in the village and I turned few vampires so we won't postpone it any longer. I can count on you, right sister?" He asked and came closer to me

In the last centuries we have been pretending to be siblings and we begin to believe that lie ourselves.

"Of course. You have been waiting for five centuries." I smiled at him and only hoped that my plan would work

"Excellent now get some sleep. We have exciting days ahead of us." he moved my hair behind my ear and kissed my cheek. I looked past Klaus at Elijah and nodded at him

I went to my room, changed into my night gown and sat on my bed. I held into my necklace and thought about how next days would play out. By thoughts got interrupted by loud banging on my door. It was still dark outside and I had had no idea who that might be but I heard Rebekah's voice from behind the door. I got up, put on my rope and opened the door.

"Rebekah, are you aware it is till dark outside?" I murmured trying to act like she has just woken me up

"That bloody doppelgänger escaped and took the moonstone." she announced nervously and entered my room

My eyes widened. Trevor and Rose wouldn't have been able to get her out of there so quickly. And how did she know about the moonstone?

"Elijah and Nik went looking for her. Did you tell her anything about the curse while you were at the gardens?" She took my hands and looked into my eyes

"Of course not Bex." I answered truthfully

"So how did she know?" she asked

After that, neither of us saw Katerina or the moonstone ever again. But the legend of Katrina Petrova didn't end that night. The girl turned into a vampire and caused more trouble then we thought she ever would.
