"Fuck!"

CLANK!

Agatha hurled her chair at the metal walls beside their couch- leaving a dent in the aluminum and shaking the hanging decor. Aaron stood surrounded by the yellow projection windows of information in a perfect hexagonal platform, exhaling deeply with wide eyes. One open tab of information had his attention: Agents Farah, Lawrence, and Yves- suddenly gone dark.

"The operation failed."

"I can see that," Agatha answered, her voice low, pushing her hair back with her slender hands. "What footage do we have? How did slaughter a force that strong?"

"She didn't kill any of them."

Agatha shook her head suddenly, scoffing. "Then who did?!"

"... Judging by the footage and the messages relayed back, a party was already in conflict with her. Both an organization called Restorationists and the Church of Armageddon."

"The Quadir woman? That's who was in the footage?"

"Before she decimated the entire sub-unit on her own."

"Church of Armageddon is making more dangerous moves by the day. More and more people around the world align with their faith."

"Just as many in our walls."

"Y'know what they are calling Lydia now, Aaron? They call her saviour. That small minority within their faith are convinced she is their messiah- Child of Armageddon Itself."

"That would spell civil war. We must calm it now."

Agatha inhaled sharply, picking her head up. "Our people growing restless is what we need, you know that. There is word of resistance in our walls. We have to let it grow."

"Darling, please-"

"You tell me to calm down, I swear to god-"

"Don't take this out on me. Not now."

Aaron closed the window, swiping his hand in a wide swing, closing the projection. Their living quarters' lights lit up in incremental periods, one second after the other in rows. "Annihilate that entire Bastion. That's what's next. If Farah, Lawrence, and Yves are alive, that will destroy everything. They know too much." Agatha said, her mind racing.

"We can't expend anymore there. We lost an entire sub-unit of Cyber-Militia, and our borders can't spare any more troops. The other Bastions are getting bolder. Given time, they will ally." Aaron answered, stress building up in a piercing headache behind his eyes. "We are running out of resources, time, and manpower. We can't keep this up with the losses we've suffered."

"... Then what do you suggest we do now?"

Aaron placed his hand on Agatha's shoulder, and she turned to face him with eyes of fury with the boiling ocean blue- her smile lines deepening in a scowl.

"Initiate the second phase."
