I wanted my father to drive me to school, but he wouldn't because he has to go to work at the steel mill. I think I patched things up with him, but I can tell he's still a little bit mad which is really frustrating because I can't help being sick.
Anyway, I still feel yucky. On the bright side, my fever went down which is good.
As I walked to school, my brothers wouldn't talk to me. They left me behind as they walked and talked up ahead. At first, my feelings were hurt. I don't want my family to ever be mad at me.
"I'm sorry," I tried to say, but they kept walking. Randy caught up to me, which is good because he's not a part of the Jackson 5.
"Why are they mad?" He asked.
"Because I'm sick and I missed the show."
"That's not fair. You can't help that stuff."
"Tell me about it."
"Well, I'm late. Feel better Michael!"
"Thank you," I said, ready to cry. I felt so lonely.

When I got to school, my best friend Ryan and I started working on our project together.
"Are you ok?" Asked Ryan.
"Fine, why?"
"Well you seem a little by sad."
"I am, kind of. My brothers won't talk to me because I ruined their show."
"How did you ruin it?"
"I'm sick, so I had to miss it."
"You're sick?"
"Yeah, I feel awful."
"You should go home then."
"It's just a cold, I'll be ok."
"Are you sure?" Ryan asked, feeling my forehead. "God, your burning up. Go to the nurse already."
"Umm, ok. I will."
I asked Mrs. McNolian if I could go to the nurse and she looked at me concerned.
"Are you alright, Michael? You are never sick."
"Choo!" I tried to sneeze silently.
"Bless you, honey. Why don't you go to the nurse."
Ryan offered to take me there as I shivered fiercely
The nurse noticed that I had a high fever so she called my mom and told her to come and get me. I felt tears in my eyes because I was was emotional from being so sick. I prayed and prayed that I wouldn't cry but the nurse asked me a question and if I answered then I would burst into tears.
"Michael? Are you doing ok?"
I sucked in my chest and nodded, but a tear slipped down my cheek and my eyes were very red.
"Aww, Michael. Your mother should be here soon, don't worry."
I started sobbing now because I didn't even care at this point.

My mother came in and hugged me.
"Go to the car, honey," she said.
I walked out into the hall and stayed there because I wanted to hear what she and the nurse were talking about.
"He has an extremely high fever, so I recommend you take him to the doctor," she said.
"Yes."
"Michael also got really emotional around me."
My mother nodded as I peeked through the window.
"I don't know if there was something going on and maybe he wants to talk to you about it."
I was really embarrassed by her comment and because I cried.
I couldn't even face my mother, so I went to the car. When she got in, I felt like I had to sneeze.
"Ha-choo! Achoo! Eh-choo!" I sneezed. The last one sounded more like a cough.
"God bless you," my mother said.
