Next day...

Sophie's POV

I woke up to a loud bang. Immediately, I got up from my bed and rushed to the common room, where the noise had come from. Two identical boys were standing there, staring at something between them. They noticed me.

"Hey! It's the new girl!" one of the exclaimed. I smiled awkwardly. That boy led me to where they were standing, and up close, I realized that they were looking at fireworks.

"Fireworks. Seriously?" I scoffed, "Try Gulon gas." I handed them my emergency tank of Gulon gas. They looked at it suspiciously. I put on a gas mask and activated the tank. As soon as I did, bright green gas filled the room. The boys almost puked.

When the smoke finally cleared, I took off my mask. There was sting a awful lingering scent though. I nearly puked myself.

"That. Was. Awesome," the other twin gasped, "I'm George by the way. Mind telling us where to get that?"

I laughed. "You can't just get it anywhere. I have a secret stash in my trunk. Tell you what. 5 tanks for 7 Galleons."

"That's a done deal," the other boys nodded, "I'm Fred."

"Nice to meet you two," I smiled.

Just then, Hermione came downstairs.

"Fred, George, Sophie. What are you guys doing up so early- urgh! What's that smell?" Hermione gagged. She pinched her nose.

"Introducing... Gulon gas," I announced proudly. The twins laughed. Hermione glared at me. I smiled cheekily and handed her my mask.

"Use that for now," I said, "The smell will go away in a moment."

"Fine," Hermione huffed, "I'll let you off the hook this time."

As Hermione strode back to her dorm, I whispered to the twins, "A moment after 10 hours."

The twins smiled. "We didn't know the new kid was a prankster too," Fred grinned.

I shrugged. I guess Keefe had rubbed off on me. Speaking of which, I really miss him. In fact, I miss all my friends a lot. And it was only the second day. I sighed and looked at the giant grandfather clock at the corner.

"Guess it's time to get to class."

Fred and George nodded sadly.

"Yes," George sighed, "Class..."

Harry's POV

Binns was droning on and on. I could just barely stay awake. I glanced around. The only ones paying attention were Hermione and Sophie. While Hermione was determined to learn, Sophie looked as if she was scanning every word Binns had said to find a secret message. Weird. Hermione must be glad that someone else other than herself listens to Binns's lesson.

Sophie had taken out a piece of parchment but seemed to have trouble using a quill. She frowned. Hermione noticed and proceeded to teach Sophie to use the quill. Sophie looked amazed and shocked at the same time. I laughed.

"What?" Ron asked sleepily beside me.

"Nothing," I replied, trying to suppress my laughter. Hermione looked over at me. She was glaring daggers. I shivered. Hermione's glare always frightened me. I looked away.
