Ran slowly opened his eyes, feeling somewhat refreshed from last night's rest. He finds himself cuddled up against you, your form providing a sense of comfort he never thought he would experience.
He didn't know you were already awake so he was surprised when you spoke. “hey ass hat, move, I'll make breakfast”
Ran let out a small yawn as he stretched his arms above his head, the warmth of your body still lingering on his skin.He let go of you, rubbing his eyes.
You proceed to stood up and went straight to the bathroom to do your morning routine before you head down the kitchen to make breakfast. While you were applying moisturizer in your face, you spoke from the bathroom. Enough for ran to hear.
“hey, I have a mission assigned with that beard man akashi today. I'll probably head home late”you said, no more lies teasing this time.
Ran heard your words from the bathroom, he was still in shock of the morning from waking up.His mind whirl, yet his mind was thinking about what happened last night between you and him. He was starting now to see another different side of you. The one he felt so warm and comfy in your embrace. He wanted more of it.
“Hey haitani, did you hear me? I said I'm assigned on a mission with that beard cigar puffer guy akashi!”putting your hands in your waist, you stared at him.
You made him blink. “what do you mean head home late?”
“uh, well probably morning already?”
“alright, don't do anything silly”
“aye-aye captain!”
He chuckled at your playful jab, you left the room first to make breakfast.Pancakes to be specific, ran shortly followed you downstairs.
“cause baby I would die for you~ baby I would die for you yeah~”you hummed while making pancakes.
Ran smirked at your choice of song. Even tho he didn't want to admit it, now he understand even more how you were very different from those girls he encountered. Despite your rough exterior, there was something undeniably charming about you.
“the distance and the time between us, it will never change my mind cause baby I would die for you~”you continued.
As you continued singing, ran thought to himself that he do feel something about you. He had never felt or experience such intense emotions before, and he wasn't sure how to handle them.He knew he felt something towards you the day he started hunting you down. He was just in denial to himself all the time, tho he wasn't so sure if you feel the same if he ever confessed that feelings he have. But one thing is certain, he wouldn't let anyone else to have you.
You turned to him, handing him a plate of cooked pancakes. “here, eat up”
He took the plate from you and settled in the chair beside you as you took a seat. He could feel your body brushing against his as he leaned over to take a bite of his food.
You were already munching, humming as you eat.
Ran secretly watch you ask you munch your food. He felt his heart race. The closeness was palpable, he took another bite of his food. Savoring the taste as he continued to watch you.
“I know I'm pretty but stop staring you creep”you said, catching his eyes.
He chuckled softly, he didn't break the eye contact. “You’re more than pretty, Sweetheart. You're mesmerizing.And I could stare at you all day long”
“what did you eat huh? You're not the Haitani I used to messed with”
Ran smirked, taking another bite. “I’m not certain about what you mean about that but I assure these pancakes are delicious. Perhaps it's your cooking that has left me feeling so…. different today”
“nice try idiot”you smirked, shaking your head a bit.
“Well then, perhaps it's just the company I'm keeping that has me feeling this way.You’re really quite captivating you know”
“i know babe, thanks”
Ran finished his pancakes, he couldn't deny that he was feeling a strange mix of emotions.Somehow your words drove him crazy.
After your meals, you washed the plates silently. Thinking while you're at it.You didn't mind ran's eyes looking at your back figure. His mind was also thinking some racing thoughts.
“what are you staring huh?”you broke the silence.
“Nothing, I was just thinking about how good the pancakes were”
“pft”
It made him smirk, “you know what they say, the best way to mans heart is through his stomach. I admit, that pancakes were quite different from what I have eaten before, Sweetheart”
“with that endearment again huh? What are we, couples?”you grinned.
He didn't respond, your brows raised in your face but you didn't bother to move on to the topic. After washing the dishes, you took a bath and get dressed. Ran did the same, he offered to drive you to the head quarters but you refused cause akashi sent you the coordinates of the place.
Both of you left shortly after. You drove your bike, speeding in the highway like a racer but your mind was thinking of something more deep for you to do.
