Its a Friday, last day of school for the week and every body is exhausted and quiet. When lunch comes round, every one is suddenly talking. Not a single space of silence.
As Y/N is getting her food, she over hears some older years talking about a party:
"are you going? I'll go if you do"
"where is it at?"She keeps her interests low, not wanting to get noticed until someone shouts out: "Come to my party later tonight! Five o'clock! Bring some other cool people with you!"
The chatter only gets louder before Y/N is able to get her food and walk away. She sits down at a table and starts to eat, scrolling on her phone, going on snapchat and every one's stories are filled with questions about the party. She decides that she's not going to go until one of her friends walks towards her and sits down.
"So ... are you going?"
"I don't think I am"
"Why?"
"Cause it's probably boring. Plus, I have homework"
"Homework can wait, but a party can't. You're coming and if you are not there by 5pm, I will be dragging you by your hair and pulling you out the house to the party."
"Okay, okay fine. I'll go"
"Yay! I get to try hook you up with someone again!"
"Keep your mouth shut or else I'm not going"
Lunch bell rings and there's two more hours until we get to go home. All every one's talking about is the party and teachers start to have trouble keeping all the students quiet.
Finally the last bell goes and the corridors are crowded and you can't even hear your own thoughts. Y/N leaves the school gates and starts to walk home, air pod's in her ears, blasting songs into her ear drums. Every corner she turns, there's at least two people who are talking about the party tonight. She finally makes it home and she's trying to decide what to wear since joggers and a hoodie are not suitable for a big party like this. Y/N finally decides on some low-rise jeans and a cropped top with a jewelled jacket, slightly over-sized. She sits down at her table and does her make up: eyeliner on her water line, mascara, blush, and lip gloss. Since she still has some time left, she decides to try do some homework but doesn't even have a chance to start it since her friend calls her.
"Hey! I see your dressed.. so you're going?"
"What d'you think?"
"Okay, no need for the attitude. Anyways, d'you want me to pick you up?"
"Yeah, sure"
"Okay, cool. See you!" And she hangs up. Y/N goes downstairs and finds some shoes to put on: adidas's. Before she can message asking where her friend is, a horn honks outside of her house and she exits it, locking the door behind her. She gets into the car and it's silent for a couple minutes before they start blasting songs, singing along to every single one.
