It was just another day, and the little dark fox was sitting, watching the sunrise as a gentle breeze caressed their fur.

They were thinking about the friend they made yesterday. They hadn't had a 'friend' ever, everyone kept drifting away from them.

Well, there was one, but that friend died very soon after meeting them.
Such bad luck, right?

Ok, at least there finally was a reason to keep waking up...

<<Uh... Maybe I should sleep for a while while I wait for them...>> Thought the little fox as they watched the sunrise as the sun shined bright, so they slowly laid down and closed their eyes, but soon they fell asleep...

They woke up

But their friend was not there, there was no one there, actually. Now they were not sleepy anymore, they couldn't sleep anymore. So they just sat there watching the silent forest.
It was actually really lonely, but they had gotten used to that a long time ago, anyways.

And then, seconds passed,

minutes passed,

hours passed...

The fox stayed still as they sat down admiring the end of the sunrise,
<<Maybe they've already forgotten... I guess, I can wait for them a while longer...>>

And they waited for them,

And waited...

And waited...

...

Now it was almost dusk, and their orange friend was still not coming.
Maybe it was already time to assume that their friend just wasn't coming back.

They laid down

They were sad, sadder than they were used to, even though they thought they couldn't be already sadder than they were, maybe it was because they didn't feel the feeling of having a friend since long ago.

They closed their eyes...

"Midnight! Midnight!"

A familiar voice approached

They raised their head, it was their friend.

They smiled... They came.

–Hello, I'm here!— the orange one sat down next to them and continued speaking. –Do you want to go play in the forest?— the orange one proposed

The dark-furred one didn't usually go for walks because of their curse. They were afraid of causing harm.

They thought for a long time about it, but seeing how excited the orange one was, they decided it would be okay.

–Okay, but stay away from me, let's not go too far either...

The dark-furred fox got up.

Before getting up the orange fox asked,
–Why do you hate physical contact so much? If you don't want to answer, don't, I'm just curious.

The dark furred one was a bit startled, they didn't know what to answer.

–I-I don't know... I just-..

Before finishing their answer, the orange fox stood up.

–You don't have to answer it! It really doesn't matter, you have your reasons, let's go!

After saying this, the orange fox went running towards the forest.

<<I have to tell them, even if they abandon me, I have to tell them...
I have to tell them of the curse...>>

The dark furred snapped out of it when they noticed their friend waiting for them

They stood up and went running towards their friend
