"Back so soon guys ?" asked Drew.
"Yeah. We wanted to hang out as a group." I lied.
"Great! We were just getting the bonfire started." said Angela.
"Cool, I'll go get the marshmallows from the car." joined Alex.
"And sausages!" exclaimed Travis.
"Where do you want me to get those dipshit ?" teased Alex.
Glad he's back to normal, I thought.
"Theres a Wal-Mart on the way over here." answered Angela.
"Ughhhh. Fine." Alex whined as he threw his hands up & started towards the car.
"So..Anything interesting happen?" I asked hugging myself from the cold.
"Hey! Babe? Aren't you coming?" called Alex.
"Yeah, Be right there!" I called back.
"Later guys." I waved.
"Later." they all replied in unison.
As I met up with Alex, he held my hand.
"Fuck. Do you remember where we parked?" he said, scratching his head.
"I think by the restrooms-slash-showers." I replied.
"Yeah, true." he said as he led me to the car.
As we walked, we saw a couple around our age making out. I thought about how Alex has been acting weird for a few weeks now & I don't wanna ask why. I don't want to make him feel bad again. As I thought this, Alex stopped & pulled me in for a kiss.
"Alex-" I said, short of breath.
"Shh." he said as he held my face up to his. "I know I haven't been the same lately. I'm sorry. I really love you, okay? I'm sorry. Don't think that I've stopped loving you, okay? I love you Addison." he said as he kissed me again.
"I love you too." I said as I looked up at him. He was gorgeous. He had dark brown hair that almost looked black, he had dark blue eyes that made me fall in love with him all over again every time I looked at them. He was tall & beautiful..and mine. I felt so lucky. After all, he was so out of my league.
I had blonde hair half-way down my back & plain green eyes that had no depth like his did. But still, with him I felt like everything. I think thats how true love is supposed to make you feel.
