"Im glad you enjoyed it. I believe that i should tell you your results on your assessment now."

Your heart pounded inside your chest and you palms began to sweat. Your stomach twisted, like it could throw out that you food had eaten at any moment.

You hadn't been this nervous in a while. Of course, you were just naturally shy and timid. That wasn't the case when slaying demons, or training. But certain situations with some specific people caused that anxiety inside you to really thrive.

He closed his eyes and wore a serious face.

This is it. I guess ill just have to continue the rest of my career as a demon slayer without this training from the flame hashira.

It seemed you had already accepted the fact that you just weren't good enough for his training. And the fact that you showed your confident side, and told him that you were confident in your ability was extremely embarrassing. What on earth were you thinking when you actually thought you were worthy of his training?

Suddenly he looked you in the eye and studied you. He saw that your face was held down in shame and the way your body trembled and shook.

"Y/N. lift that pretty head of yours back up. There is nothing to be worried about, and I am happy to tell you that I will take you in as my Tsuguko."

Your body flooded with relief and you gasped, snapping your head up to look at him. You tried not to show how excited and content you were, but couldn't help but smile ear to ear.

"R-really?" you practically shouted, before becoming bashful and hanging your head again in embarrassed.

He laughed and smiled genuinely. "That is right. You have showed me exceptional talent that even i was surprised by. Although it was quite a quick fight, you really put in some great techniques and your sword skills are astounding."

You smiled and continued to eat the food he had made for you.

"I would be lying if i were to say that i didn't have to try to keep up with you. That blow you kicked on my back was impressive, and to be honest, is a even a bit painful."

You immediately bowed to show your apologies. "Ah-! I-im so sorry! I didn't intend to hurt you badly. Please forgive me." you spoke, your voice trembling.

"N-no! Im not mad. Do not think that i meant that in a way that i was angry at you. Not at all- im impressed!" Rengoku said, a bit surprised by your reaction.

You scratched the back of your neck in embarrassment. You had misinterpreted his words! How embarrassing. "O-oh... well, thank you."

He nodded. "I should be the one apologizing. Im deeply sorry that i hurt you, please forgive me aswell. Your shoulder, and your side; i struck you pretty hard there."

"Its ok. I know that you only did it because we were battling, and now i know what you mean when you said that your training was harsh. Im fine though, and i can still preform at my best. But thank you for showing your concern." you said, facing him this time.

The truth was, you weren't exactly fine. Your shoulder ached immensely, and it hurt to even move it. And your side was much worse. It was the blow that had sent you flying; luckily the fall didn't harm you due to your protective falling technique. You wouldn't be surprised if you were all bruised up by tomorrow morning.

"Im glad to hear that." he spoke, and then held out the drink to you. "Please, try this. It will help you gain your strength back. It wont do much help to any injuries, but it is beneficial to elimating exhaustion."
