Infection (Part 2)

"Good morning." Ella said as she looks at Zein who enters the classroom before the class starts in a few minutes.

"Good morning to you too." Zein says back as she puts her bag in her seat next to Ella.

"So your morning is actually good?"

"Just a normal morning." Zein answer and Ella goes back to looking at her notebook.

"Zein could you help me with math this time? I really need your smartness to save my life. My mom's gonna kill me if i fail..." Ella said.

"Fine. I will. But you owe me." Zein said.

"Yay! Thank you so much Z." Ella happily said and they starts reviewing for math.

They continue their review while the boys at the back talk about something else. "Do you guys already seen that new sports drink called Gooshot? It was available in the stores now." The boy said to the other two guys he's talking to.

"Really? I think we should try that." The other guy said.

"Maybe we can find something to the mall." The boy in the middle says.

"Okay. Tomorrow." The boy that first to talk says and the others nod.

The teacher walks into class and place down the book he's carrying in the teacher's desk. The students stands up and say 'good morning Mr. Fernandez.' At the same time before sitting down.

"Good morning. Let's begin our lesson for today." Fernandez said as he takes a marker and write something on the whiteboard. "Yesterday we discuss about..." Fernandez stops letting his students continue his sentence.

"Solving linear equations and quadratic formula." They all said.

"Yep. Quadratic formula. So who can solve 5x² - 5x - 9²?" Fernandez ask as he wrote it down in the white board then looking to the class.

"Oh my god! That math class is a hell class!" Ella said as she laid her back to the chair and tilt her head looking at the sky in the outdoor school cafeteria.

"Don't be overactress Ella. You just didn't study that's why it's hard." Zein says.

"What the ever." Ella said taking a big bite to her sandwich lunch.

"Hey... May i sit with you guys?" A guy ask them and they both look at him. He is Micheal. They're classmate.

"Sure." Zein answer and he says thanks before sitting with them. He is holding a sandwich like Ella and he also have a bottle of green drink. It has a Gooshot in it's label.

"Wait, that's the new release sports drink right?" Ella said and Michael looks at it and nods.

"Yup. I got this from the convenience store nerby." He said as he eats his sandwich.

Some group of guys walk towards their table and one of them is carrying a basketball. "Hey, that's our seat." The guy wearing a black jacket says and they both look at him.

"Excuse me?" Zein question them.

"You heard what i said. Now move out..." The black jacket guy said. He is Elijah. The school bad boy. Or bully.

"Do you have a problem? Are we going to?" Ella says.

"Yeah we're going to have a problem if you guys don't find another seat cuz your sitting at our table." The guy that is holding a ball said.

Zein sigh and stands up while Ella and Michael do the same. "Hey, what is this?" The other guy takes Micheal's sports drink in his hand.

"Hey that's mine!" Michael tries to take it back but was push away.

"This is the new Gooshot right? Well it's mine now loser! Just buy another one." The guy said and Michael glare at him before walking away with Ella and Zein.

Ella rolled her eyes at them as they walk away.

"I swear... If i can just fight that Elijah, im gonna do that without any hesitation! Why does he have to be so bad?!" Ella said as she and Zein walks in the street in afternoon. They are talking about Elijah.

"Your not the only one who's mad at him. You remember when he pushed out of the way when he's in the hallway? God! He acts like he owns the whole school." Zein says.

"But even though i hate him, i cant still deny the fact that he is kinda hot. I don't know why hot guys have to be a bad boy..."

"You have a crush on that jerk?" Zein is frowning at her.

"Just a crush. I don't love him okay." Ella said. "So this is my street. Bye." Ella said and they separate ways.

"Bye!" Zein shouted and wave before going home. She opens the door with her key and steps inside.

She didn't see her father anywhere so she maybe think that he is getting some groceries. She takes her shoes off and she spotted a note in the table in the living room. She reads the note that says, 'ill be back... Food is in the microwave. -dad.' she puts it back and she plugs the tv and turn it on with a remote.

The tv shows a few commercials and it then shows a commercial about Gooshot. The new sports drink. And after that, the commercials ends and it shows the news. It shows that some of the people ended up in the hospital and some of them seems like they suffer from food poisoning. Or a drink poisoning when the news says that the sports drink called Gooshot might be the reason of all those sickness.

Zein shook her head before going to her room to change. After that, she was about to do her homework when someone calls her. She takes her phone and see that it was Ella.

"Hello? Ella what's up?" Zein ask.

"Do you heard the news?" Ella says on the other line.

"What news?" Zein ask confusedly.

"About this sports drink. Well my neighbour got send to the hospital after drinking it." Ella said and Zein remember the news.

"Well... Hope everything will be allright." Zein then heard some ambulance noises. She walks towards her window and looks outside. She saw an ambulance car driving away in full speed. She feels that something bad is happening.
