Cassandra of Troy was once normal — well, as normal as a beautiful woman could be in Ancient Greece — until the god of the sun fell in love with her. He gifted her with the power to see the future, but of course since she was the only sane person in Troy, she refused him, which ended in her being cursed to never be believed. So there she was, forced to speak the truth that everyone around her wrote off as insanities and then blamed her for when her prophecies came to fruition.

Alison Wilkins had been told the story more times than she (a seventh grader who could do high school-level math) could count. Alice thought that it didn't make a lot of sense; if she were in Cassandra's place, then she would just fight off the people who didn't believe her; she would make everyone believe her.

A majority of Hawkins, Indiana, thought that Alice was nothing more than a child full of resentment and rage. In her defense, Alice had a lot to be angry about. Her mother was barely home, and when she was all she brought was chaos; her older siblings were constantly annoyed by her just existing, and she was a constant target of bullying. If it wasn't for her small group of friends, she wasn't sure she would be able to survive middle school.

& Naomi Wilkins had a bit of reputation around town for being the school slut, a home wrecker and other things she would never dare say out loud. In her eyes she was just someone who liked to have fun, she didn't see a problem with that.

The thing is, Naomi really doesn't like anything about herself. She knows that the people she usually sleeps with don't care about her but it felt nice to be held, to be appreciated even if it is only for a few hours. Shes the one who has do parent her younger sister even though she make it perfectly clear and Naomi is nothing then a bother. She's failing half of her classes and when her chemistry teacher isn't staring down her shirt, he's giving her detention for trying to answer one of his questions.

And then she has to deal with her best friend, Steve Harrington who fully believes that he can solve all her problems. Maybe he could if he stopped sidelining her for every half-decent looking girl who walked past him. It's okay though, Naomi is used to taking care of herself, she doesn't need anyone to swoop down and save her, she's fine on her own.

& All the sisters wanted was to get away from the small town, get away from all of the rumors but they never got what they wanted. When William Byers goes missing all Alice wants to do is find him and that means that Naomi has to keep her idiot little sister out of trouble long enough for her to graduate.

N O T E S

—— The main love interests are Steve Harrington and Lucas Sinclair but that doesn't mean that the story is necessarily about them and Naomi and Alice's relationships with them.

—— I'm going to explain the timeline of the story the best I can because it gets a bit confusing as the story goes on.
Season 1 takes place in 1983 between November 6th to
December 24th. Season 2 takes place in 1984 between October 29th to December 15th. Season 3 takes place in 1985 between June 28th to October 2nd. Season 4 takes place in 1986 between February 19th to march 29th.
