Chapter 5 Alex And Spider-Woman

After shutting down a potential fight, between Spider-Woman and Venom, Ellie walked Alex home.

Alex: El, you really didn't have to kill that guy for nearly killing me.

Ellie: He could've killed you Lex. You're my best and only friend... if I lost you... I wouldn't know what to do with myself.

She confessed as the two were now standing outside the males house.

Alex: Ellie, I know I don't open up much... but I learned before I met you, that no one stays around forever.

He told her as he walked onto his porch.

Alex: Did I tell you that I used to have a Twin?

Ellie looks at the male surprised.

Alex: Yeah, I did, his name was Adam. He... was my best friend. But around the time we were 6. Ultron attacked New York. He was one of the casualties.

He told her and sat on the chair that was on his porch.

Alex: Thought me and him were gonna live forever. Never thought, either of us would die.

He said wiping away a singular tear.

Ellie: Is that why when I met you, you were staring at the seat next to you and were smiling like someone was there?

Ellie asked sitting in the chair next to Alex.

Alex: Yep. It's also why I was so mad that you sat next to me. It was Adam's seat. I thought I'd never meet anyone who could make me as happy as he did.

He paused for a moment before continuing his thought.

Alex: Then I got to know you. You became my new best friend. I couldn't have asked for a better one, I mean your badass, don't take any shit, bring me back to reality, and...

He paused before he gained the courage to say what he wanted to.

Alex: And you haven't failed once to make me smile whenever I got depressed. I honestly wish I started dating you instead of Petra.

Alex confessed and the blonde girls heart was beating so fast.

Alex: But, it's too late for that now. I'm not ready for another relationship, and I don't want you to be a rebound, if you even feel the same way about me.

He tells her and he gets up from the chair.

Ellie: Alex I-

Alex: El, it's been a long day... I just opened up about something really... traumatic in my life to you. I'm tired and I want to go to bed. I promise we'll talk more tomorrow. I hope you understood what I was telling you with that story earlier. Good night.

He told her with a sad yet reassuring smile, as he went inside his house.

Venom: Well at least you know he feels the same about you. Maybe not the psychotic part but he likes you too.
