I looked down at her, the pen lodged in her skin. When I stabbed that pen in her cheek, I didn't know what I was thinking. I was so angry that I lost my senses. Now, Itzy was still kneeling in front of me, her blood vessels under her skin starting to turn black. Her eyes were still bulging, unable to comprehend what had happened.
Her hand shook, touching her cheek and eventually, the pen that protruded from her skin.
A high-pitched scream came out of her mouth, and the fighting around us slowed down to a stop. People started to turn their attention to us. I started to back away, still not getting over myself that I had stabbed someone with a pen.
Around the room, students gasped, and a dread silence fell over the enormous room. A few of Itzy's friends ran over to her, both giving me death glares as they passed me.
Itzy pulled out the pen from her face painfully, but it was too late. The ink from her face had entered her bloodstream, marking black lines on her face.
"You're okay," One of her friends comforted Itzy.
"You can wash it out," added the other, adding a hint of hope to Itzy.
Her friends each lifted Itzy by her shoulders as Itzy stood up, her legs shaking.
"I-I'm f-fine," she huffed.
She started to take a step and passed out in her friends' arms.
"This is all your fault!" shouted the girl carrying Itzy, glaring at me. She laid Itzy down on the floor.
"AND, it was your fault that this even happened!" I shouted back as we glared at each other.
She huffed and stomped past me, slamming into my shoulder as she passed by.
"You piece of trash," I muttered under my breath, massaging my shoulder.
I heard a long whistle behind me. Turning around, I saw Jack, who was leaning back on a table. He straightened up and walked towards me.
"Didn't know that you could be this... savage," he chuckled.
I blushed, "I... lost my senses because I was so..... angry and frustrated." I forced out those last three words from my throat.
"If you haven't done that, I would have been pork chops," said Cody, holding up his hand. I took his hand in mine and shook it. I could feel our friendship bonding again, thankfully.
There was a loud beep in the door, and the stone door opened, revealing people in black uniforms, carrying guns in their hands.
"Hands in the air!" they shouted, holding up their guns and walking in briskly.
Soon, they started to shoot people around them. The students started to drop one by one on the floor. One of the students put both of her hands up, only to be shot down. My hand immediately went to the green sphere in my pocket. I took it out and hoped this would work. I pressed the sphere as hard as I could, and saw a faint glow. I placed the green sphere in the palm of my hand and watched as the sphere started to glow, but then became dim, flashing back and forth. The flashing increased, and with all of my might, I threw it at the black uniforms.
"Take cover!" I shouted, running behind an overturned table.
There was silence, and I could hear the sphere bouncing on the floor. The guards in the black uniforms looked down, and the sphere blew up. Parts of the chip, metal, and silicon shot out, and the guards shouted in surprise. A clatter and a thud followed shortly after, echoing around the room.
I jumped out from my hiding place, happy that I wiped them out. In front of me, there were still three guards left, their guns pointed at my chest. Oh great, I thought as I ducked back down, bullets whistling over my head. I grabbed the nearest stool quietly and pulled it towards me. I wasn't planning on going down without a fight.
Who were the people in the black uniforms, and what were they doing here? My thoughts raced across my mind.
I heard a crunch next to me and flung my stool in the direction of the noise. There was the sound of solid contact of metal against metal, and a groan. I heard the guard fall on the floor. I shuffled my position so I could see Cody and Clove hiding behind a table, staring back at me. They had nothing around them to defend themselves with.
I reached into my pocket to take my taser out. Their eyes widened as I moved my hand back and forth, signaling that I was going to throw it to them. They nodded, telling me that they were ready. I threw the taser, and it flew in the air. A rough hand reached out to grab it. I sighed in relief and saw Cody giving the taser to Clove.
I couldn't see where Derek or Jack was, so I hoped they didn't get shot down. Then, I saw them, far away from me or even Cody and Clove, closest to the guards.
One of the guards started to walk around, positioning the gun towards the table where Derek and Jack were hiding. Derek and I locked eyes with each other. I pointed to his left, and Derek turned to see a stool within an arm's reach. His hand slowly stretched out to grab the stool, but he was short on distance. He shuffled his feet so that he could take the stool. A loud crack came from Derek's shoe. He had stepped on a piece of silicon, and now his eyes looked around frantically as he drew back next to Jack, breathing heavily.
The guard's head snapped to the sound, and he started to walk towards Derek.
"Hey!" I shouted, popping my head over the table. The guard turned to look at me, his gun pointed at my head. I heard the gun click and ducked as the bullet hit the wall behind me. Oddly, the bullet made a blue spark on the wall instead of bursting on contact.
It's a fake bullet. I thought. But it's an electric bullet. On contact, you get electrocuted, to be made unconscious for a long time until you gain consciousness again. Feeling better that I wouldn't die, I poked my head over the side of the table. The guard was waiting for me, and the bullet grazed my hair, giving me a little shock. I couldn't move, but my body was shaking uncontrollably, as electricity ran through my body for a split second. The shock lasted for a short period of time, but I was worn out. I moved out of sight of the guard as he continued towards Derek and Jack.
I wasn't giving up this easily. I positioned my feet so that I was facing Jack and Derek. As the guard reached the table, I leapt out from my spot and tackled the guard to the ground. The guard and I fell to the floor with a thud.
Immediately, I could feel the pain wash over me. I couldn't move as wave after wave of electricity kept hitting me. The shock was too much for my brain as red drops of liquid fell from my nose. The ground turned a dark color below me. I saw a pair of boots approach me, and the boot kicked me hard in my ribs. On my stomach, I tried to gasp for air, writhing on the ground.
My stupid lungs wouldn't breathe! Panicked, I waited for the waves of electricity to terminate. Once the electricity wore out, my lungs expanded as I took a huge gulp of air. I started to get up, but I saw the butt of the gun raised high in the air from the corner of my eyes. Shock fell over my whole body as the gun smashed on my head.
"No," I choked out, as I was quickly swallowed up by darkness.
