Deacon's Unknown daughter

Chapter Three

It is a week later when I am walking out to my car to drive and get Leo then go to my apartment. I found a place 4 days ago so me and Leo moved out of Hondo's. I hear someone shout my name I stop and turn and see Deacon walking to me he looks nervous. We haven't really talked much outside of work ever since I told him he was my father. He lightly smiles at me.
"Glad I caught you. I was wondering if you would be willing to grab dinner with me. So we can talk. I spoke with Annie she said she would watch Leo longer." Deacon says. I smile at him.
"Sure." I say and he smiles. He holds his hand out for my keys which I give to him. We both get into my Challenger. It was recently fitted with police sirens, lights and a police gps. Hondo got it approved as a S.W.A.T. car. I sit next to Deacon nervous. He notices. He lightly grabs my hand.
"Sweetheart you do not need to be nervous." Deacon says with a chuckle we pull up to this cute Italian restaurant. We both get out we grab a seat at a table outside. Once we have ordered and finished eating it is when Deacon finally speaks.
"I am so very sorry I was never there for you growing up. Up until a week ago I did not know you existed. If you will let me I want to be in your life. We will take it at your pace." Deacon says. He has hope in his eyes.
"I have always been curious of what my dad was like. I have to confess something tho. I have sat outside your house many times but I could never bring myself to knock. I would love nothing more than to have a relationship with you. Growing up I always wanted my dad." I say looking down. He stands up and walks over to me and pulls me into a tight hug which I return. I lay my head on his shoulder and I feel him kiss my head.
"It is ok. We all are afraid sometimes. I am here now you are my daughter. Annie and I both spoke and we want our children to know their amazing big sister. Let's start by you coming over every night for dinner. I promise you will never be alone again. I hope someday you are comfortable calling me dad. But for now call me David." Deacon says and I smile.
"I would love that. I want Leo to know his grandpa." I say and he smiles he pays the bill before we both climb into my car and he drives to his house. He parks and turns the engine off. We get out and he locks the doors. We go inside and Annie smiles when she sees us.
"Kids are all asleep why don't we all watch a movie together?" Annie says and I smile at her. We put grown ups on. I don't when but I end up falling asleep on Deacon's couch. I feel him cover me up with a blanket and kiss my head.
