|#14. A Glimpse of Hope|

A new day brings a lot of hope.

It surely does. Vineet wants to keep his spirits up. He wants to believe that his wait will be fruitful one day.

He knows Ruhana very deeply, and he knows that she might have turned stone-hearted, rude, and arrogant, yet she's caring towards the people whom she loves. He knows that she cares for him as well. In the past few days, Ruhana has turned sweet towards him; it seems like her rude demeanor has diminished. She's been sharing many things with him. He feels a little accomplished at the moment. Is this change due to him? Well, he wants to believe that she has changed a little bit, and he's the one to bring a change in her.

However, on the business front, Ruhana is still a perfectionist, and she wants everything to be perfect. She scolds the employees when things aren't right, and it's obvious. Even he wants things to be perfect when he's delivering a project. And she's no different. That's fine unless she's not making any foolish decisions that might hamper her goodwill or hurt her mentally; he's fine with it.

Lately, he has stopped questioning her ways. He knows that she will change her ways someday, as he can't keep telling her everything every day. She must analyze her deeds, and she will realize the truth.

Well, there's a lot of time until she realizes the truth. Until then, he will wait, even if it means waiting forever.

Ruhana is the first one to wake up while Aanya is still asleep, keeping her head on her sister's outstretched arm. Ruhana kisses her head, and then her mind wanders to the message that Vineet sent to her last night.

He has started believing in her and is letting her do things in her own way. She's glad about the same. She thought that he would keep objecting to her ways, but maybe he has accepted her changed personality. Meanwhile, she also remembers the conversation she had with Aanya last night.

"Di, why are you hurting him?"

"He's trying to help you. He knows where you're going wrong. And all you do is shout at him or hurt him with your words."

"Di, the scars caused by words remain for a lifetime. And you're doing the same with him. I mean, you mustn't hurt him. You can tell him everything. He won't judge you, Di."

"Di, you must start trusting him. He is worthy of your trust."

She sighs deeply, contemplating her thoughts. Though they have met after twenty years, his concern is still the same. He wants to know everything, and she has caged herself. She doesn't tell him anything more than he's required to know. Life has been harsh with her, and so she has lost trust in everything and everyone around her.

She realizes that he's trying hard to mold himself. He has controlled himself, just for her sake. Even yesterday, he didn't ask her any details about Manav and fixed the meeting. Maybe he wants her to open up and tell the truth to him.

But, it's hard. Some scars are so bitter that even reminiscing about them pains a lot. For her, all the scars are given to her by the people she least expected to do so. And so, she hates to talk about her past with anyone.

Ruhana knows that Aanya is right. Vineet is her best friend. Even after a long span, he stands by her side and follows her words. He keeps his opinion too but lets her make her own decisions. This is a kind of trait that most people don't possess.

She has also started to realize that Vineet is a great partner; it's she who has turned blind and deaf towards him. She has developed the habit of chasing success, and it is hard to come out of that habit. Of course, she will handle the deal with Zenith Ventures. It might be heinous to her or her business, but it is needed. So far, all her decisions have proved right, but who knows what the future holds for her?

She wants to believe that her decisions will again prove right, and she will be able to achieve her goals of a profitable business.

Somewhere in a lonely cafe, a guy and a girl are sitting at a table. A laptop lies in front of them, and the guy is typing furiously on the computer. The girl watches him work and then poses her first question.

"Are you sure this technique will work?"

"Yes! I am pretty sure that this will work. And we will be able to achieve more than we have planned. Especially TechCouture Innovations. If it comes into our hands, we will be the richest people."

"Huh, what is your obsession with this TechCouture?" the girl asks annoyingly.

"This is a long story. I will tell you another time. But for now, my goal is TC only," the guy replies, gritting his teeth.

"She will pay for what she did with us," he adds, and the girl is confused, but she believes him and tries to calm him down.

He sighs deeply and continues his work while she helps him with the essentials.

These two have other goals for someone. Well, that's life; you get a chance, and whether to play good or bad is all in your hands.
