"I'm so bored," Chad says, drumming his fingers on the table.
"Yeah, me too, Chad," Blake agrees with a sigh.
Charlie's face lights up as an idea springs to his mind. "Yo! I've got a great idea!"
"What?" Blake and Chad say in unison, raising their eyebrows.
Charlie grins. "We should go on a trip for, like, half the summer."
"Where should we go?" Chad asks, leaning back in his chair.
"Uh... I'm not that far yet," Charlie admits with a shrug.
Chad rolls his eyes. "Well, while we figure it out, we should try that new diner up the road."
Charlie perks up again. "Doesn't Isabella still go to this school? Maybe we should see if she wants to come with us."
Blake nods enthusiastically. "Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. She can help us figure out where to go on this trip!"
Chad scoffs. "Do any of you idiots even know what dorm she lives in?"
Blake taps Chad's shoulder with a smirk. "Oh, I remember when you used to like Isabella," he teases.
Chad glares at him. "Don't you like her now, though? I know you aren't talking right now, stupid bitch."
The whole group goes silent, realizing there's a hint of truth to Chad's comeback. Charlie, sensing the tension, breaks the silence. "I could just call her," he suggests.
Chad gives him a grateful look, knowing he crossed a line.
Blake shrugs. "I could call her," he says, unlocking his phone and walking away.
Chad leans toward Charlie, whispering with a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Yeah, 'cause he wants to go talk with his little crush."
Charlie nudges Chad hard, signaling him to stop.
Blake returns with a grin. "She agreed to come with us!"
Chad looks unimpressed. "Great, so which dorm is it, dumbass?"
Charlie elbows Chad again, harder this time.
"What?! He is a dumbass! Sorry for stating the obvious," Chad snaps.
Blake chuckles. "She said not to worry about picking her up; she'll meet us here, biggie."
"Wow, being smart for once?" Chad laughs.
Suddenly, Blake jerks forward as Isabella jumps on his back. "Hey, guys!" she shouts, clinging to Blake's shoulders.
The group stares in surprise. "Oh, yeah! I kinda invited Sienna, too. Hope you don't mind!" Isabella adds, grinning widely.
"Oh, now it's your crush, idiot," Blake teases, shooting a look at Chad, who turns slightly red.
Sienna strolls over and raises an eyebrow. "So, what's up with those two?" she whispers to Chad, who opens his arms for a hug.
"They're just flirting, I guess," Chad replies, hugging Sienna after a moment's hesitation.
Charlie breaks in, "Break it up, lovebirds. I'm starving."
"Yeah, I haven't eaten all day!" Isabella adds, still hanging on Blake's back.
"Is that all the surprises you had for us, Isabella?" Chad says sarcastically, rolling his eyes.
They start walking toward the diner, with Isabella finally getting off Blake's back and taking his hand, while Sienna and Chad hold hands, too. Charlie trails behind, content with scrolling through his phone.
