"And there's Shubman," your manager said as the cricketer entered the filming location.

You turned to look at the direction where the familiar face walked inside, greeting the people on his way with a polite smile.

Pausing your small talk with the director, you returned the smile as he stood in front of you.

"Hello," he extended his arm out for a handshake. "Shubman Gill," he introduced himself as you took his hand.

"Aditi Sharma," you said, shaking his hand for a bit. "And is there anyone who doesn't know your name?"

"I could say the same thing to you," Shubman let go of your hand. "I've heard your songs. Quite a fan, actually."

"Thank you," you said, feeling touched. "I love cricket as well."

"Okay, kids. Fanboy and fangirl moments are reserved for lunch. Shall we start?" The director interrupted and you both nodded.

The duo shared a few quick words and a hug before you both were led to your own vanities by your respective managers.

-

"Just be comfortable with each other," the choreographer instructed. "Simple moves, guys. There's no need to be awkward."

He added once he was done teaching you and Shubman the choreography along with his assistants.

You both nodded again, getting ready for the shot as the director took his spot.

The first part was done, after rather too many takes, a lunch break accompanied by more small talk, and then the dancing part was finally to be shot now.

And this proved to be even more difficult for the director because he didn't see the chemistry he needed for the advertisement.

If he was going to put two people who were achieving great lengths in their respective careers together, there had to be undeniable chemistry needed so that the ad was really a success.

Like, tabloids should start questioning if that chemistry was actually real.

"You're acting like strangers dancing together on prom night," the director said.

"And that is because they're strangers," his assistant said, earning a blank stare that made him walk away.

You and Shubman sat on chairs that were placed together, listening to his rant before he let out a long sigh.

"Guys, it's my wedding anniversary. I need to go home before tomorrow," he said, checking the time and it was almost 6 pm.

You both pursed your lips in a thin line, feeling slightly bad for his current state.

"Break ends in thirty minutes. Just bring on the chemistry, physics, math, whatever subject you've got," he said one last time before walking to his chair, slouching.

Seems like he remembered something, because he immediately called his assistant and asked him where the purse was.

"I've not even danced in my school's annual day," you said absent-mindedly and Shubman looked at you.

"Not even once?" He asked and you shook your head as a no, proceeding to eat the burger.

Just in time, the stuffing fell out completely and Shubman choked on his coke.

The burger had one job.

Thank gawd you had a plate on your lap. The dress would've been ruined otherwise.

Laughter could be heard from beside you and with your literally cheesy hands, you smeared it on one side of the source's cheeks.

Shubman stared at you with his lips parted a little in shock and it was your turn to laugh.

Until he left a streak of cheese from your own burger on your cheek, of course, with another small laugh of victory.

And that's how you both livened up for the next shot, not knowing how this day would change the course of your lives entirely.

(Just imagine. You and Shubman as Virushka in this ad~)

A/n

A really basic and short first chapter (with an unoriginal title), but the next ones would be longer. There will definitely be a chapter published at least weekly once, and I'm timing it between the updates for my other books. And thank you so much for readingヽ(^v^)ノ
