HIREATH had been a part of Kim Somi's class for around half a year now. The Thai girl had spoken broken Korean, having only been learning for a year and a half, and Somi found it charming.
The two were inseparable from the moment they met, on the first day of the year. Somi stepped in when she saw some kids bullying Hireath for the way she had spoken Korean.
Somi told them off and swore at them, telling them they were idiots who had brains the size of a peanut and they were better off on a farm with pigs at their side.
The kids scattered and Somi patted Hireath on the head, "It's okay, I think your Korean is really good." She had told her, warming Hireath to her core.
Half a year into school and Hireath and Somi being best friends, Hireath decided to share an important secret with the other.
"You can't tell anyone, okay? Promise me." Hireath had said. Somi promised to never tell anybody.
"I don't have a Mom or Dad, they left me here. I live in this orphanage." Hireath spoke sadly, glancing at Somi's face to see her reaction.
The reaction was that of confusion and sympathy. "It's okay, Hireath. You still have me." Somi had ended up saying, grabbing the other little girl's hand.
They went out for street food after that, and played at the park until the sun began going down.

"You're.. the police?" Da beom asked, stepping away from Nahee as they met eyes. "Nahee, I'm so sorry! I knew you weren't the Mafia, I was blinded by Somi! I'm sorry!" Mina spoke, grabbing Nahee's arm as she desperately tried to apologize.
