Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous Rewritten

The Wilderness

It was afternoon when the kids trekked through the hot and steamy jungle, tense after the Indominus attack, jumping at every little sound and murmur. The Indominus appeared to have been rather thorough with its massacre of humans, finding every nearby area full of corpses, the Crestasaurus was also absent, worrying those who had encountered it. 

The group walked single file, Ben and Posy The Graciliceratops at the back and Darius at the front, who had to move all the plants and branches out of their way while holding the map, it was extremely difficult to focus. The most startling thing that occurred was when Posy grabbed a branch and ate it, the loud cracks startling Ben who screamed, startling the others.

"Sorry, Posy was eating a branch" He apologized.

"You almost gave me a heart attack!" and several other sentences came after that.

"Its okay Ben, we're all on edge" Darius tried to calm everyone down.

"And stuck in a dinosaur infested jungle!" Yaz retorted, forgetting about the map.

"Yeah, we've been out there for a while now, are you sure your following the map Darius?" Sammy asked

"Well we'd be sure if we still had my phone!" Brooklynn retorted, starting another argument. Darius went back to checking the map though it was difficult due to a lack of landmarks and signs and names.

"My fellow campers! Chill!" Kenji said "What we need is someone who can make the hard call on what to do next, since I'm obviously leadership material... I'll do this!"

"And my first decree as leader is..." Kenji continued "Is for everyone to stop talking and just listen to Darius, he has the map and all"

"Huh?" Darius was broken out of his concentration.

"You got us out of camp alive and you have the map" He whispered "Plus, I can blame you if someone's eaten, Leadership! So which way Darius?" 

Darius then checked the map again and noticed that near where he had placed his finger there was a small river nearby, marked "Cretaceous Creek" in the Cretaceous Cruise attraction which lead into a watering hole, with a genetics lab nearby! The only problem was there was a fence in the way according to the map.

"Please, you're just trying to cover up the fact that you're lost too, Mr VIP" Brooklynn was speaking  "None of us know where we are"

"Guys, theres a river nearby!" Darius announced 

He then began to move North.

""The only problem is that there's a fence in the way..." Darius moved some long grass out of the way to see the fence destroyed. 

"The broken, ripped down fence" Kenji finished , Posy rubbing his leg like a cat with her head, scratching him a bit "Ow!" 

"Well, that saves us from climbing it, if we follow the river long enough it leads to a watering hole and theres a Genetics Lab nearby and the parks in that direction as well, those guys could help us"  

"Yes! Exactly what I was thinking as leader" Kenji shouted excitedly "Which I am, follow me!" 

Seeing how nothing bad happened to him, the rest followed slowly, batting away plants and jumping over logs. 

"I rally don't think an adult can help us in this sort of situation, who knows what that thing released when it went on its rampage" Ben confided in Darius "No way they have a plan for that!" 

"Ben, I know its a bit scary but this is Jurassic World!" Darius said "Dealing with dinosaurs is what they do!" 

"They didn't deal so well back at their first park, did they? Maria's boss died there!" Ben replied.
