(y/n)'s pov

kai took me back to the others in his car, oh the disappointed looks on their faces that i will see.. i'm so tired of being and feeling trapped. the only time i felt free was when i was on my own, living in the streets which shouldn't be the case but it is.

"kai?" i call out before we walk inside to the others and he stops in his tracks.

"hm?" he looks back at me and my expression was saddened.

"are you gonna leave again?" i ask fidgeting with my hands.

his eyes widen a bit, "i don't know (y/n)," he starts and shakes his head, "do you want me to?" he asks which was the most stupidest question i ever heard.

"no."

"then no." he says which makes a small smile creep across my face.

we then walk inside and i immediately see cole and lloyd with a look over worry all over their faces.

"are you hurt?"

"where'd you go?"

"(y/n) that was way past how long you're supposed to be out."

"i told you not to go looking for kai, we could've done that after you were healed entirely."

they both blurt out a bunch of different things and it's makes my mind go crazy, i step behind kai and hide behind him.

"look guys, she's okay. i took care of her." kai says and cole and lloyd look at each other with crossed arms and furrowing a brow.

"you left her, kai." lloyd says with frustration.

"because i couldn't stand see her hurt, lloyd." he emphasizes lloyd. he points towards lloyds chest in anger. "besides, she left us!" he adds which stung a bit.

i look at him, and look at the others but none of them look at me. i walk off and hear them shouting as i walk off.

"she had her reasons! you didn't!" lloyds shouts back at kai. the voices of them get quieter and quieter, until im completely away from them.

i sit down on a bench on the bounty and just stare at the sun going down. footsteps approach me, but i don't look.

"(y/n)." a familiar voice of cole calls.

still looking at the sun going down, i reply with, "hm?"

he grabs my hand, but i pull away and look at him. "oh, sorry. i didn't mean for that to be weird." he chuckles nervously, and places his hands back in his own space.

"no, it's okay. it wasn't weird." i shake it off, making the awkwardness go away.

"i'm sorry about the things those two were saying back there, i know that hurt." cole apologizes, attempting to create conversation.
