River didn't exactly want to go on tour still but he didn't have a choice. It was his final night before they left for the tour and all of Copia's ghouls were throwing a party. He didn't exactly want to attend that either but he thought he could get on Rain's good side again.
He didn't know why he liked the other water ghoul so much. Maybe it's because Rain was actually nice to him unlike most of the other ghouls. All he knew was that he wanted to make it up to him.
He was one of the last to show up to the party it seemed. Almost all the other ghouls in the ministry were outside already. There were some siblings out there as well. No doubt, trying to get laid by a ghoul.
Despite being such a strict ghoul he did get around quite a bit. It used to be with mostly ghouls but now the ghouls didn't trust him. He mostly slept with siblings now and, unless they had fucked other water ghouls before, he got to offer them a new experience.
He didn't think he could get through this party sober so he immediately went to the drink table. There was some kind of alcoholic punch so he decided to grab some of that. Now his goal was to find rain.
He didn't know where Rain could be. There were so many ghouls out here. He could've sworn he could hear his voice somewhere. He gave up on his journey after a while though. He decided it would be best to find him when they were drunk. He would go find him later.
He was being avoided by almost everyone. This was different. Even the siblings were avoiding him. What happened between him and Copia's ghouls must have gotten out. Now everyone hated him.
He decided to isolate himself by the wall. Almost everyone else was mingling. He didn't have it in him anymore. So he was going to finish the drink, try to find Rain, and then retreat to his room.
There was something about water ghouls though. They were lightweights. They got drunk very easily. But that also meant that anything else in their drinks, for example, if it were spiked, they would be affected by it much much quicker.
River was only about halfway through the cup and he felt strange. He should not feel this drunk right now. But he decided to brush it off. He felt confident to go and find Rain now.
He walked out into the crowd but he could barely even think straight. Something was definitely wrong but he didn't care about that right now.
He walked around to look for Rain. He felt like the whole world was spinning around him. He thought he heard Rain's voice so he started to stumble in that direction.
After a little more searching, he found Rain. He was probably in just as bad shape but he could barely even make out where he was. He could hear some worried voices around him but he couldn't make out who they were. He looked around at everyone for a moment before collapsing to the floor.
River woke up later. He had no clue what time it was, where he was, who he was with, or even what happened. All he knew was he felt like absolute shit. His head was pounding and his whole body was short.
He tried to sit up but the second he moved his head he was hit with a wave of dizziness and nausea. He quickly laid his head back down how it was.
He finally realized who was right next to him. It was Rain. He smiled a little bit. He didn't want to get up right now. He didn't know how he ended up in Rain's bed but he wasn't complaining. He didn't want to wake the poor ghoul up so instead he moved a little closer and fell right back asleep.
