Creatures Among Us

part 2

Sorry about it being all split up weirdly, I can't seem to publish it in more than 7000 word parts lol, I also didn't read through it cuz im a lazy bum :3

She couldn't move for a while.
After she regained her ability to move, she sat up and held her neck. It was bleeding. She whimpered and hugged the hat close. She saw something on the ground near her, it was a circular device that Yellow always kept with him.
She gently picked it up and turned it on. When she did, a parasite came out of it and latched itself to her hand. She screamed as it dug into her flesh and disappeared under her skin. She fell over and screamed as her body began to spasm uncontrollably. She cried and was in a lot of pain as the parasite infected her.

She laid there spasming and crying for well over an hour. Pink found her.
"There you are!" He ran to her but then saw what was happening to her.
He saw the device. "Oh shit..."
He picked her, the device, and the hat up. He ran to med Bay with her. He laid her down on her bed and he tried to think of what to do. He called yellow.
"Get your ass into med Bay NOW! Don't argue just get over here!" He hung up.
He went to Black and began to check her over. Yellow entered.
"The fuck do you~" He saw Black.
"Oh..."
Pink growled and pinned yellow to the wall, "what the hell did you do?!"
Pink revealed a pair of claws and a mouth.
"Calm down, hybrid.. I just fed off her a bit..." He growled and revealed his own imposter features.
Pink growled, "THAT ISNT A HARMLESS FEEDING! LOOK AT HER! WHAT DID YOU DO?!"
Black was scared and she was in pain. She cried.
Yellow growled, "I didn't do anything! The only way she could be acting like that is if she was infected by a parasite. And I'm not looking to infect anyone today!"
Short tentacles came out of him from all angles when he yelled. He was mad. Black spasmed and cried. Pink threw Yellows device at him. He caught it.
"Well I found this there, you dumb shit! You let her get infected! You stupid bastard!"
Yellow growled, "careful with it! If it breaks, she and everyone here dies!"
Pink growled, "that's all you're worried about?! Now we have a newbreed or a corruptor on our hands and all you care about is a fucking device?! Get your head out of your ass! We need to figure this out!"
Yellow pushed him away and crossed his arms, "fuck off! We could just use this to make everyone think she was really the imposter and we'd be off the bloody hook, but no! You insist on protecting her.. I swear you need to contain the human in you before you get us exposed..."
Pink growled at him before heading to Black to check her, "says the one who is only a worm in a human host..."
Yellow looked appalled, "you know I don't share human values! Nice try, HYBRID. I bet your daddy was SO proud his son wasn't pure entian."
Pink went to him and punched him across the face, "shut the fuck up, Yellow!"
Yellow growled and kicked him in the stomach, it was turning into a full on scrap between them. Black passed out from the pain and stress. Pink and Yellow fought each other brutally. Pinks eyes began to glow a shade of red as he clawed at Yellow. He was pissed.

The fight went on for well over an hour. Black was unconscious the whole time. She began to wake up.
Black sat up and whimpered. She put her hand on her head and whined. That's when she saw the newly developed claws on her hands. She began to freak. A strained screech came out of her as she touched her mouth. It was inhuman and wrong.
Pink heard her and stopped, as did Yellow. They both looked at her. Pink was mid punch. She saw their imposter features and she screamed. She began to cry.
Pink pushed Yellow away aggressively went to Black, "hey, it's okay.. I'm not going to hurt you..."
She cried and felt inside her mouth. The sharp teeth made her cry more. She began to aggressively chew her claws to try and make them go away. Pink gently took her hands and put them away from her mouth.
"Don't hurt yourself.. I know it's confusing and scary, and I'm sorry this happened, but please don't hurt yourself because of it..."
Black whimpered and cried. She stared at her hands. She wanted them to go back to normal. Yellow rolled his eyes and sat off to the side. Tears poured from Black's eyes as she scrambled to understand what was happening to her. Pink gently patted her back.
"I know it can be scary to wake up into something you're not and I'm sorry..."
Black cried, "w-w-what h-happened..?"
Pink sighed, "Yellow accidentally infected you with what's called a shadow parasite... it turned you into something else..."
Black shook her head and she began to cry very broken sounding sobs. She muttered things to herself under her breath that Pink nor Yellow could understand. She took Reds hat and she hugged it tightly for comfort. She didn't understand why this was happening to her. She began to chew her claws again. Pink stopped her and sighed.
"Calm down, relax your hands.."
Black whimpered. She cried but did as he said. Her claws went away but her chewed fingertips remained. She tasted her own blood in her mouth and it tasted really good to her. She cried and put her fingers in her mouth, they hurt.
Pink gently took her hands and bandaged them up. He licked his lips, smelling her blood. She whimpered. He licked his fingers after he finished, since there was blood on his hands from her.
He sighed, "I don't mean to scare you, but you taste good.."
Black wasn't sure to take that as a compliment or a threat. She stared down and hugged the hat. Pink sighed and gently patted her shoulder.
Yellow growled, "you're damn right she tastes good, you're damn lucky I didn't slaughter her when I fed off her!"
Pink glared at him with a very dark look in his eyes, "Oh yeah, if I ever hear of you feeding off of her again, I'll behead you. Understand?"
Yellow growled, "fuck you, fucking hybrid... fucking crybaby..."
Black whimpered and coiled up. She touched her mouth and whined. Pink gently tilted her chin towards himself and he looked into her eyes.
"Stop worrying so much... it'll be okay, I promise.."
Black shook her head and began to try and leave. Her mouth went away when she stood so Pink didn't try to stop her. She wiped her eyes and headed to cafeteria.

The yells of Cobalt and Lime could be heard. They were arguing about something. White was spectating and she was covering BBs ears. Black whimpered and made herself a small bowl of veggie Ramen as her dinner. She sat in the far corner alone. She mostly picked at it with her chopsticks.
The yelling and fighting reminded her of her childhood. She whimpered and hugged the hat close. She hadn't even taken a bite but it was getting cold. When Lime finally ended the argument, Cobalt saw Black alone and headed to her.
"Come to finish the job?! Hmm?! Come to kill us all?!!"
When Black didn't answer or respond in any way, Cobalt took Black's cup of water and threw it in her face.
LP saw this and stood, "Cobalt, enough!"
Black began to cry. It was a sad sound, anyone listening could tell she was completely done with life. They could hear the pure sadness in her cry. Cobalt growled and outright smacked her across the face. White ran to med Bay to get Pink and Yellow.
Lime grabbed Cobalt and pulled her away, "COBY, STOP!! THE ARGUMENT WAS BETWEEN YOU AND ME!!"
Cobalt aggressively pushed Lime away, "FUCK OFF, ITS WHAT SHE DESERVES!!! SHE KILLED CYAN!!!"
Black sat there and she cried without tears. She had no tears left to cry. She was completely done. She stood up and went to Cobalt. She took the gun from Cobalts belt and put it to her head.
"NO!" Light Purple snatched the gun away from her.
Pink and Yellow came in with White and saw the situation unfolding. Pink ran over and pulled Black away from them, he stood in front of her protectively.
"what the hell is going on here?!"
Lime whimpered, "me and Cobalt got into an argument, and Black came in. After we ended the argument, Cobalt went over to Black and tried to start a fight with her over cyan, but when Black didn't fight back, Cobalt threw water in her face and slapped her. I tried to stop her but then Black grabbed Cobalts gun and tried to off herself..."
Black whimpered and stared down. She looked sad and empty like before. Pink slapped Cobalt across the face. Cobalt was shocked.
Pink growled, "I get that you lost your friend, but what the fuck is wrong with you?! You know damn well she didn't kill cyan so give it up!"
Cobalt growled and began to go back and fourth with pink. All the yelling stressed Black out. She hit the ground and sat there. She was having flashbacks from all the screaming. She cried tearlessly. Everything was falling apart. Her mind was scrambled and her heart was dead. She sat there for a long while till the argument dissipated and Cobalt left.
Pink knelt next to her and gently tilted her head towards him for a moment. She looked dead inside and out. He whimpered.

"Black, I am so sorry..."
She whimpered and hugged him. She didn't speak, she just hugged. Even by her hug he could tell how far gone she truly was. There was nothing left. That hug was a very desperate cry for help. He hugged her back.
"Come on... let's go back to med Bay..."
She didn't answer. She just held on. He gently picked her up and brought her back. He laid her in her bed and covered her in a blanket. He went into the medicine cabinet and pulled out a certain drug. He put some in a syringe and sighed.
"If this doesn't help you than I don't know what will..."
He injected her arm with the drug. She didn't show any instant results but she was slowly beginning to feel better. She sat up. She looked depressed still but she was feeling a bit better.
Pink saw this and smiled gently, "better?"
Black shrugged. He nodded and took it as a yes. He wanted her to get better. She thought about him being an imposter but still caring about her. It made her feel somewhat better about it all. Black got up and went to him. She hugged him without saying anything. A small whimper escaped her at the most. Pink hugged back.
He let her hug him as long as she wanted. He checked the time. It was 9:34, almost curfew. He gently patted Black's head.
"Come on, let's get you to bed.." He gently took her hand and led her to her room.
Black let him, she held onto the hat still. Pink saw this and sighed, he put the hat on her head.
"There.. now you don't have to hold onto it."
It was big for her head but she was grateful. Pink took her into her room and put her on the bed.
"Goodnight, Black..."
He patted her shoulder and turned off the lights before he left. She sat there for a long time after that. She soon laid down and fell asleep.
At about 3:20 am, a rustling sound came from the vents. Yellow came out of them. Black was dead asleep. He approached her and tilted her chin up to get a good look at her neck. He licked his lips.
"You may be like me now, but you're still human... and you'll still taste just as good..." He put his mouth near her neck like before.
Black blinked awake and nearly had a heart attack when she saw him standing over her. She tried to scream but a tentacle covered her mouth.
"Say anything and I'll end you in the most painful way possible..." He whispered in her ear.
She whimpered and began to cry. He growled and pinned her there, his claws dug into her arms. He aggressively bit into her neck. She screamed to the best of her ability but it was muffled by the tentacle covering her mouth. Tears poured from her eyes as Yellow began to feed off her again. He didn't care what happened to her, he was only thinking of himself. He took his precious time, he focused on how she was shaking and crying as well as how she tasted. He clawed her arms harder.
Just then, a glass was whipped at the back of Yellows head. He screeched and quickly turned around.
"Fucking ghost!!" He threw a shoe at the ghost.
Black looked behind Yellow and saw Red floating there with a pair of angel wings and a pissed expression. She whimpered and was terrified. She would scream if yellow moved his tentacle. She didn't understand what was happening.

Red growled, "leave her be, yellow!"
He grabbed Yellows shirt and threw him across the room. His wings spread out in front of her protectively as he faced Yellow.
Yellow growled at Red, "stupid fucking guardian angel!"
He knew he couldn't win. He went to the vent and disappeared inside. Black sobbed and held her neck. Red turned around and sighed. He gently touched her neck and it quickly healed. Black whimpered. He did the same with her arms.
"I'm sorry.. for everything that happened... you didn't deserve any of this..." He gently put the hat on her head and fixed it. He seemed sad.
Black whimpered and sat there. "I-I missed you... so much..."
She began to cry. Red whimpered. He floated there. He gently wrapped her in a blanket.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be there for you when you needed it most... I didn't know I was able to interact with the environment or talk to certain imposters till just earlier.. if I'd known, I swear I would have done more to protect you..."
Red looked at her and he looked disappointed in himself. Black cried to herself. She tried to touch him but her hand went right through him. He sighed.
"I blessed to protect you, but I was cursed to never interact with you.. at least I was.. until he turned you into what he is... whatever that may be.. it lets you see and talk with me and I'm grateful for that..."
She cried and didn't speak. What she wouldn't give to hug him in that moment. Red sighed and sat with her in silence.
"Why don't you go back to sleep... I'll stay by you.. I'll protect you... I promise..." He caressed her face.
Although neither could feel it, it relaxed them both. Black let it go on for a moment before nodding. He nodded back to her in a wordless exchange. She laid down and he covered her in a blanket. He made sure she was comfortable. He didn't have much purpose in his afterlife except for making sure Black was happy and safe.
Red sighed and sat next to her. He waited there for the rest of the night as she went back to sleep.

The next morning, Pink woke up earlier than the rest of the ship. He sighed and went to the kitchen and began to make a nice meal for Black and himself. He still ate human food despite eating humans too. He also knew Black would still eat human food automatically and she wouldn't get it herself either.
After a while he finished and headed to Black's room with some food. She was passed out in bed. He sighed and gently woke her.
"Black, I got you some breakfast.."
She woke up and yawned. For a short while she looked completely careless. She saw the breakfast and smiled. It made Pink happy to see her happy for once.
"Scrambled eggs on toast with maple beans, enjoy"
Black giggled, "now how did you know I'm Canadian?"
Pink tilted his head, "what do you mean?"
"Maple beans are a breakfast staple in Canada. I'm native Canadian."
Pink smiled, "oh, I didn't know. Guess I learned something new.."
Black nodded and put some in her mouth. She seemed so bright. It was a side of her that she'd lost. It gave Pink hope that he could make her better.
"Mm.. I never thought I'd miss Quebec... the food on this ship is too American. No offense."
Pink chuckled, "none taken, I'm Australian on my mother's side"
Black nodded, "I'm native Canadian on both sides.. I'm inuit... in Canada that means I don't have to pay taxes, he he he.."
She had a smug look on her face, she took a bite. Pink chuckled.
"I've never been to earth but I can imagine that's a good thing"
Black froze, "you've never been to earth..?"
Pink nodded, "I know this is new to you, but I'm an Entian on my father's side.. I was raised in a colony on a different planet. It was a mix of humans, Entians, and all those in between.."
Black whimpered, "and I'm an entian now too?"
Pink shook his head, "no.. you're something entirely different... I'm a human-entian hybrid, you are a newbreed as we call them. You were infected with a kind of parasite that's a predator of both my kind and humans alike.. a very dangerous creature.. they've come to be called shadow parasites by entian, and Shapeshifters by humans, but the actual name is a litchen parasite...
Yellow is one.. there are two types of shadow parasites, he's what's called an corruptor, a monster in a human shell that infects others with their fucking parasites. You're a newbreed. A shadow parasite that still technically classifies as human and can still be eaten as one by both shadow parasites and entians, most of them keep their memories when they turn. Shadow parasites resemble humans and entian alike.. They're the real imposters... they hide amongst both crowds and they slowly eat through them while staying under the radar. They can change shape and form to anything or anyone living they want. You'll even be able to as well although I don't think you'll be any good at it. They also have black tentacles, the lot of them. Some entians have tentacles too but it's not common.. most shadow parasites are psychopaths but the odd one is a good person"
Black nodded and ate her food. "Oh..."
Pink sighed, "I didn't mean to rant, it was just a few things you needed to know..."
Black nodded, "and what about seeing ghosts..?"
Pink looked up, "you can see them..? Unless you had abilities, which is an Entian and not a shadow parasite trait, then it should be impossible for you to see them.. wait, i think most shadow parasites can see ghosts, nevermind..."
Black was confused, "abilities..?"
Pink sighed, "some entian carry the ability to do things most others can't... some can see ghosts, some have power over the elements, and some can even fly or raise the dead. I, myself, can Teleport and heal wounds with my saliva... I also have a powerful rage.. as do all hybrids..."
Black whimpered and finished her breakfast. The word "rage" brought back some unpleasant memories.
She whimpered. "Why does yellow want to "feed" off me? What does that even mean?"
Pink sighed, "because you smell and taste amazing, I can't argue with him there... it's basically drinking a victims blood. Usually someone they consider to be a "pet". Both our kinds alike can survive off a well fed human for years that way. You could also take the place of the human, but I wouldn't do that to you if I didn't have to..."
Black nodded and whimpered. She sat there and fidgeted.
Pink sighed, "sorry if I made you uncomfortable.."
He gently patted her and cleaned her dishes up. She sat there and didn't know what to do.
"I-its fine... thank you for making me breakfast..."

He nodded to her. "No problem. Now why don't w-"
An emergency meeting was called, Black practically jumped 3 feet in the air, she was startled so badly. Pink caught her so she didn't fall off the bed.
"It's okay... it's just a meeting..." Pink tried to reassure black, who looked scared shitless by the alarm.
Pink gently patted her until she calmed down. He then helped her up and led her to the cafeteria. Lime was screaming about something. Black seized up when she heard the yelling. Pink led her there but kept her mostly behind himself to give her a barrier from the fight.
Lime saw them, "guys, it's Light Purple! They were in the vents!"
LP pinched the bridge of their nose, "you fucking idiot.. I'm the engineer!"
Lime growled, "sure you are! And I'm Mary fucking Poppins!"
LP glared at him, "who the fuck is Mary Poppins?"
Lime sighed deeply, "only an alien wouldn't know who Mary Poppins is.. vote them out!"
LP sighed deeply, "I don't know about you, but not all of us had a happy childhood where they knew lots of different characters and such. I know I didn't!"
The room was silent. Black whimpered and hid behind Pink. She wanted to comfort LP but her anxiety wouldn't let her. LP looked directly at Black like they could hear her thoughts.
They sighed, "nevermind... forget it..."
Black whimpered more. Pink heard her and patted her head. Lime saw this.
"Apart from LP probably being the imposter, what that fuck is happening with you two?! I thought Black was grieving for the captian?"
Black heard this and it reminded her of Red. She took the hat off her head and hugged it. She began to cry. Pink glared at Lime.
"She is grieving.. I'm supporting her, something you're clearly failing to do..." He knelt next to her and gently hugged her.
Black cried and hugged pink tightly. LP smacked Lime in the back of the head.
"Stupid asshole! First you accuse me and now you made Black cry. Shame on you" LP shook their head.
Lime growled, "well SORRY I'm not perfect!"
LP and Lime glared at eachother. White watched worriedly. Black cried and Pink comforted her. Cobalt didnt join in on the arguing. Yellow looked pissed.
"I fucking give up, this god damn fucking ship is fucking hopeless..." Yellow stormed out.
Pink watched him leave. Black whimpered and cried. Lime sighed deeply.
"I understand that she's fucking grieving, but can she not do that in the middle of a meeting?"
Everyone began to get angry with him.
"If you didn't want her to cry then you shouldn't have made her cry!" White yelled
"It's not my fault she's an over-sensitive cunt and a crybaby who cant act like a normal human being! Shes not even tall enough to wash dishes or do laundry like a woman should, and youre gonna blame me for that?!"
Black whimpered. She began to shake. Pink growled and stood up straight. He was 6'10. The tallest person there. Everyone could tell he was absolutely pissed. All the woman were also pissed when they heard that. LP was even livid. Black sobbed. She was severely hurt by his remark. Pink grabbed lime and socked him hard in the face. Lime hit the ground.
"AHH, HE BROKE MY FUCKING NOSE!! YOU ALL SAW IT!! EJECT HIM!!"
LP grabbed him and kneed him in the balls, "go fuck yourself! Oh wait, sorry, now you cant! Serves you right you prick!!"
Cobalt took her turn, "you may think woman are made to serve you but just remember a majority of slaves were male. So don't ever judge someone by their gender because I can beat your ass!!"
Cobalt began to beat him senseless. LP and Pink joined. Black sobbed. She had a lot of dark thoughts in that moment. She ran from all the fighting and hid in electrical. No one noticed her break away. She sobbed violently. The world felt like it was caving in on her. She was shaking and extremely tense. She spent a long time in electrical alone with her thoughts. Her claws came out and she began to claw herself senseless in a feeble attempt to ground herself. It was well over half an hour before anyone even realized she was gone.

White tapped pinks shoulder, "I hate to tear you away from beating lime half to death, but what happened to Black?"
Pink looked around. "Shit.. the fighting must have scared her away.. I'll go look for her..."
White nodded and sighed. Pink searched around, when he couldn't find her at first, he'd began to get worried. When he found her in electrical, his heart broke seeing her clawing herself up and sobbing desperately. He sat next to her and pulled her into his lap. She froze as he curled his body around her and he hugged her. Pinks face rested on her shoulder and neck. He looked concerned and visibly upset. He also wasn't hiding his imposter features, like her.
"I'm sorry I didn't try to help you instead of beating Lime.. I was selfish and I was only thinking of vengeance in the moment... im gonna do my best to try and help you out of this mental rut youre in right now, i promise..." He held onto her, she sobbed.
He gently nuzzled her lower neck. She froze. It was a very sweet gesture and it was something she wasn't used to at all. She let him do it as long as he wanted. He then gently took each of her wounds and put them in his mouth one at a time. The injuries healed very quickly. She wasn't crying anymore, she was just looking at him with a grateful but sad expression. He sighed and licked his lips. He wanted more and he knew it. He looked up at her and into her eyes.
"I know I can't and I won't make you promise not to hurt yourself again... but please try not to... It hurts me to see you this way..." He gently wiped a tear from her eye.
She whimpered and stared down, "why..? W-why does it hurt you..?"
Pink sighed, "because from the moment you came into med Bay with those electrical burns, I felt I needed to protect you... you're very precious, Black.. I don't want to lose you..."
Black whimpered, "then why didn't you protect me..? F-from him...?"
"I was.. I just couldn't be around you or yellow would lose his temper.. I tried to protect you from him... I failed and I'm sorry..." He rested his head on her shoulder and he whimpered. He knew he'd failed more than once.
Black whimpered, "I forgive you... just please keep your word and keep him away from me.. p-please..."
She sounded desperate, and Pink could tell. He nodded. Red watched and began to understand why Pink killed him himself instead of letting yellow do the dirty work. Pink wanted her to himself, Red being around would have gotten in the way. He had a dark expression as he watched his killer with Black. He knew Pink would protect her but he was still weary.

Black whimpered. She gently hugged pink. Pink hugged her back, this lasted for a while. He eventually released the hug and tilted her face towards himself.
"Why don't we get you cleaned up.. I also wanna give you some more of that medicine I used on you yesterday.. it seemed to help you a lot..."
Black nodded. She sat there for a moment before slowly getting up. Pink also stood. He opened the vent.
"After you~" He smiled to her.
Black approached the vent wearily. It was much larger and much harder for her to exit and enter from than it was for Pink due to her size. She whimpered and looked at Pink.
He sighed and hopped in the vent, he looked up at her, "Don't worry, it's okay, see?"
He reached his arms up in a way that made him look like he would help her in. She slowly tried to enter the vent. When she was halfway in, she began to panic because she was scared to jump down. Pink sighed and gently grabbed her and put her down. She looked up at him with an innocent expression, she gently took his hand and held it like a plushie with both her arms.
He smiled and sighed, "Come on, let's go to med Bay"
She nodded and followed. When they got to med Bay, he got out of the vent first. Black looked up at him knowing damn well she couldn't get out on her own. He chuckled and gently picked her out of the vent. Pink set her down on a bed and he closed the vent. She sat there and her legs swung back and fourth. He went to a medicine cabinet and got a syringe filled with a small dose of the meds he'd previously given her.
Black saw the syringe and whimpered. She looked down. Pink went to her and prepped her arm for the needle.
"Don't worry, this'll help you feel better.. I promise"
She nodded and looked the other direction.
"3...2..." He injected her with the needle. She didn't feel it.
"All done" He smiled and put a band aid on her arm.
Black looked surprised. She looked at her arm in confusion and he gently patted her head.
"Now how about we get you cleaned up?" He cleaned up the syringe and the alcohol swab.
Black nodded slightly. She sat there as he got a damp cloth and went to her. He knelt next to her and he began to gently clean her face and neck of blood. He was very gentle with her. When he finished, he led her to her room to get her cleaned up better.
"Why don't you hop in the shower? I'll take care of everything else."
Black nodded and went into the bathroom. Pink waited for her. He got her a change of clothes and took her old ones. He left her room so she could get dressed when she came out. In the meantime he washed the bloodstains out of her clothes by hand.
Pink could be very caring and considerate when he wanted to be. He felt a responsibility towards Black. He felt he needed to take care of her even though he knew it wasn't his responsibility. She was indeed precious to him. She smelled and tasted very good as well as being cute and attractive when she tried. She had almost no scars too, despite how much she'd obviously been through. He was simply confounded and captivated by her.
He finished and hung the now stainless clothes up to dry. Black came out of her room looking fresh from the shower. She sighed and went to him, not knowing what else to do. Red watched them, especially Pink.
Pink gently smiled to her, "feel better now?"
Black nodded slightly. She looked up at him. She looked cute and he chuckled.
"Why don't you get your spare suit on then we can do our tasks?" He didn't care about his tasks, but if she didn't do hers the ship would shut down and he would be stranded.
Black nodded and did as he said. She got her suit on then she returned to Pink. She often acted like a mini crewmate in that way. She would trust someone and she'd stick with them like a magnet because she felt safe with them, although it wasn't 100 percent of the time, just when she was with someone she trusted.

Pink led her to electrical and he gently patted her, "I've gotta go do my tasks now, I'll see you later, ok?"
Black nodded and leaned into the pats. He smiled and let it last for a moment before leaving. Black whimpered. She began to do her tasks. She went to the wire box and saw the main drive, well over 50 000 watts in one large cord. Her heart was telling her to grab it but her mind said otherwise. She stood there for a bit as she contemplated. Red saw this and gently pulled her away from the electrical box by her shirt. He closed it the box.
"Black.. I understand things are hard, but trust me, it doesn't get better being dead... I speak from experience.. I know things are confusing and difficult for you right now and I'm sorry... if I could help you, I would.."
Black began to cry, "i-i just want t-things to b-be better...."
Red whimpered and tried to comfort her. "Things will get better, I promise... for now you need to stay strong so that you can live to see that..."
Black whimpered and nodded. She stood there crying. Red handed her a handkerchief and she used it to wipe her eyes. He smiled gently to her. Black whimpered, she just wanted things to be okay.
Red sighed, "As much as I hate it, let Pink help you through this... he's still alive and he can take care of you... I can't and I'm sorry..."
Black whimpered and nodded. Red nodded with her. They stood in silence for a bit. Black wanted to hug Red but knew it couldn't happen ever again. She began to do her tasks, she talked to Red as she worked. It lifted her spirits, just being able to talk with Red. She headed to security to divert power. She forgot that that's where Cobalt works.
She entered security, thinking nothing of it. Cobalt had seen her on cams and was prepared. She grabbed Black suddenly and wrapped her arm around Black's throat as well as covered her mouth and nose. Blacks muffled screams filled security as she struggled for air.
"You kill cyan, I kill you.." Cobalt squeezed harder.
Red saw this and he pulled cobalts shirt and tore her away from black to disorient her. Red tried to get Black to run but she was seized up again. He sighed and flew through the wall into med Bay. Cobalt got up, she growled and punched Black hard in the stomach before strangling her again. Black whimpered and bit Cobalts hand in pure desperation. Cobalt screamed and struck her.
Black hit the ground and coughed, she held her throat as she tried to catch her breath. Tears poured from her eyes as Cobalt undid her belt.
"Fucking murderer!!" She struck Black with the belt.
Black screamed as Cobalt struck her again. The hits weren't light, either. Cobalt was very strong and she was also very angry.
"You'll pay for what you've done!!" She struck Black a few more times.
She raised the belt once more, then she froze. Black looked into her eyes as she began to twitch. Cobalts belt fell from her hand, she looked down to find a knife protruding from her chest. She coughed blood as she fell over limply, behind her stood Pink, with red beside him holding a med kit he'd used to lure Pink there, since Pink couldn't perceive him. Pinks eyes were glowing red as he watched her corpse fall. Cobalt bled out and died.

Black cried and shook, she was badly bruised from head to toe. She was seeing double as well. Pink threw the bloodied knife to the side and he ran to Black. He positioned her carefully, as not to hurt her.
"It'll be okay... don't worry... you're safe now" He gently stroked her hair to comfort her.
She sobbed quietly but the comfort was definitely helping. She gently hugged pinks hand and she cried into it, she was hurting badly, mentally and physically. He let her. He assessed her injuries before carefully lifting her.
"It'll be alright.. I'll fix you up" He gently placed reds hat on her head so there wasn't anything at the body leading to her.
Pink took her to med bay and he laid Black down carefully. He went to the mini fridge and got a few ice packs. Red went to the kitchen and began to put ice cubes in plastic sandwich bags to help Black.
She whimpered and felt like she was burdening both Pink and Red with her injuries. Pink tenderly cared for each bruise and scrape on her. He would apply a special ointment then gently bandage each one individually in a very careful manner. He cared deeply and it showed a lot.
Red arrived with the homemade ice packs and he placed them on Black gently. Pink couldn't see him but he knew.
"Focus on her back and torso.. those areas got the worst of it" He looked at the air around where red was.
Red did as he said, Pink nodded. Pink focused on the mark Cobalt left on Black's cheekbone. He gently cleaned it but it bled. He sighed and leaned into her. He gently put her wound in his mouth. Black and Red both froze. Black blushed because it felt like a kiss on the cheek. Red glared because it looked like one too. Pink let it linger for a moment before he gently pulled away.
"Sorry, there was a cut on your face that I didn't want to scar.." He looked at her with a well meaning expression.
Black whimpered and nodded, she was blushing. Pink chuckled. He gently patted her. Black sat there with him for a bit. He soon resumed to tenderly care for her bruises again. She watched him work. It took a while but eventually he finished. He gently patted her.
"All done, it'll take a few days to heal tho.. why don't we get to know eachother a bit better?"

Black nodded, Pink nodded with her. They began to get to know eachother better as they passed the time. A while passed before white made an announcement.
"-what does the red light mean, is it on? Oh, *clears throat* um, we're only a few hours from polus. We board the dropship at 9 pm today. The skields systems will be automated in a few hours, I'd advise you all to finish your current tasks then go pack."
Pink sighed, "can you walk?"
Black whimpered and tried to stand. It hurt like hell but she didn't want to burden Pink with her pain. He sighed and didn't need her to speak, he sat her back down.
He leaned into her as he spoke, "I'll teleport us to your room so you can pack, okay?"
Black whimpered slightly and nodded. He nodded with her, he gently took her hand and held it for a moment as he focused on something. Black was surprised by the gesture. Suddenly, the air around them warped around and they teleported into blacks room.
Black had never teleported before, as a result she got a very sudden and very aggressive wave of nausea and fatigue. She slumped over and almost hit the floor. Pink had been holding her hand, which prevented her from completely dropping. She hung there for a few moments before Pink picked her up and gently laid her on the bed. He got her suitcase out and began to pack it with some of her things.
After a while she sat up and whimpered as her head spun. It took a while for her to come to her senses. Pink was putting some of her sentimental items in when he found a picture and a strange looking halo, it was of her and a few people. Red looked at it over his shoulder. All their eyes, including hers, were scribbled out in white marker. In the photo she was wearing the halo, everyone had a halo. He looked at her with a curious expression. Black saw him with the picture and she quickly ran and snatched it from him, she panicked.
Pink tilted his head, "Black.. who was that? And what's this?" He lifted the halo.
Black whimpered, she sat next to him but was facing away. She was looking at the photo.
"I-its my family... we all wore halos just like that one... my father said my mother made them for us before I was born... They're very special..."
Pink tilted his head again, "special? As in family heirlooms, priceless, correct?"
Black shook her head, "... they gave us abilities... I don't like to bring it up..."
Pink nodded but was still curious, "I understand.. but out of curiosity, what can it do?"
Black gently took the Halo from him and looked at it for a moment. "They can do a lot of things... as long as the wearer knows how to wield it... it's very powerful and very dangerous..."
She put the halo above her head and it floated there, she lifted her hand with her palm in the air and focused for a bit. There was a tingling buzz sensation in her hand as a ball of glowing crimson energy formed. Pink was in awe.
"All humans are born with magick, the halos are simply used to help us channel it..." she sighed and held it for a moment before it disappeared.
She sat there. She was feeling depressed again. Pink scooted next to her.
"Black, what you just did was amazing... you've no reason to be down on yourself for it.."
Black whimpered. She showed him the picture.
"I scratched out their eyes when they died... my mother died in childbirth, she's the ghost at the top.. I drew her in... I scratched out my father's eyes because his soul died... it was the day my brother..." she stopped mid sentence. Tears filled her eyes.
Pink gently patted her back. He tried to comfort her, he could tell this was an extremely sensitive subject for Black. She began to cry.
"I-it was the day he gave his life.. t-to save me..." she began to shake as tears poured.
Pink gently pulled her onto his lap, he curled his body around her to comfort her. "I'm so sorry..."
Black sobbed her heart out. Her fists clenched with Pinks shirt in her grasp. A lot of painful memories rushed back to her as she cried. He comforted her as much as he could. She took the Halo off and quickly got it away like she was afraid she'd do something.
Pink tried to comfort her. He held her close as she sobbed.
"H-he did everything for me... he fed me when I was hungry... gave me a blanket on cold nights... comforted me through every breakdown... and all I got him was killed..." she sobbed.
"I-I'm a monster..." she held her head as the tears poured and the memories poured with them.
Everything inside her came out. The pained sobs were phantom cries from her childhood, the flashbacks felt just as painful as the original moments.
