Creatures Among Us

part 4

Authors note: Sorry, this part is shorter than the others. Also, I didn't revise, so sorry for grammer mistakes in this part.

Pink nodded sheepishly.
   "I just need to get some air..."
   He gently patted her head a bit. It was to reassure her. Black nodded sadly.
   "Aw, okay.."
   Pink sighed and left for a bit. Leaving Red and Black to cuddle. Red was genuinely concerned about Pink but he stayed with Black.
   Pink went to the lava pit and smoked one. He'd been really good at covering up his habits before, but with more than himself to take care of, it became very difficult. He was standing directly on the edge, one wrong move and he was gone. He took a large breath of smoke as someone approached him, LP.
   "Hello"
   Pink nodded to them.
   "Hey"
   They sighed and got straight to the point.
   "Before you freak out, hear me out. I know what you and Yellow are"
   Pink froze, he quickly looked at LP. Then he cleaned up his composure since he could easily throw them into the lava pit.
   "How so?"
   "When you tried to kill Teal. Neither of you knew she was one of you and you didn't give her the time to explain. Probably because neither of you are pure, correct?"
   Pink didn't answer their question.
   "What do you want from me?"
   LP sighed.
   "We were on the same mission as you, killing the crew. They didn't know they sent two teams until it was too late. What I'm asking of you is a truce, because I'm human, I'm a target and I'd like not to be."
   "How do I know your not lying or your not gonna expose us?"
   "We both resided on an exoplanet called Cobal, we lived in a mixed society that's main goal is to eliminate the human threat. Humans don't get picked for the missions often because they hesitate but I don't so i was selected"
   Pink sighed and nodded.
   "And what do you expect to get out of surviving?"
   "The satisfaction that they aren't hurting anything else up here"
   "Fair enough.. how come you haven't killed anyone yet?"
   "My knife was stolen by yellow so I've only been sabotaging tasks and trying to find a victim alone. That and you guys are already doing most of the work."
   Pink sighed and offered LP a cigarette, they took it and he lit it for them.
   "So lime was correct then, you were in the vents"
   "I'm small and I'm literally an engineer so yes."
   LP took a large puff of the cigarette.
   "Fuck.. Teal would kill me if she found out I was smoking.."
   "Isn't she dead?"
   They held up a pendant with what appeared to be DNA in it, blood specifically. Although it was more of a blue colour than red.
   "For now. I'll take her to the fucking respawn place when I get back"
   Pink nodded and inhaled some smoke.
   "About that, you know red?"
   "The captian, your the one that killed him, they won't take lightly to you wanting to bring back one of the crew."
   "It isn't for me. Black is like Yellow now, and based on what I've seen, she needs him around. Not just as a ghost."
   LP didn't seem surprised in the slightest.
   "They'll think he's a spy."
   "If thats the case then how'd you get in anyways"
   "Teal found me, half dead by my own crews hands. Above everything I thought she'd kill me, but she helped me. She knew I'd never be on earths side so she told the station that I was against humans. They accepted me slowly, and I never looked back on the life I'd left behind. They only accept humans who are loyal to the downfall of their own race."
   "If I were to convince them Red is against his own kind?"
   "They'd do a trial to see how he acts, they'd keep him under high surveillance without his knowledge, if he doesn't act out of character or doesn't try to sabotage them, they'll spare him."
   He nodded. That was all he needed. LP looked to him as they inhaled another puff.
   "I thought you fucking hated Red"
   "I don't particularly like him, but it's not for me"
   LP nodded.
   "Don't worry, I get it. The same happened with Teal and me"
   "What?"
   "You fell for her. I know your kind doesn't use human terminology, but you've got a thing for Black. As did the captian. You both care about her in the same way she cares about you both. It isn't hard to tell, you know."
   Pink didn't know what to say, LP sighed.
   "Also, another word of advice, using drugs to push emotions away may feel best, but letting it out is the only option that works. I know from experience"
   Pink glared at them for a moment before putting his cigarette out. LP watched.
   "Also, can I borrow a few? I can offer them to people during conversations and poison them."
   Pink nodded and handed them the rest of the pack.
   "I got more, don't worry."
   LP nodded, "Thanks"
   They engaged in a bit more small talk before they went their separate ways.
   Black was still cuddling Red through the blanket. She didn't care what time it was. She was rather sad that Pink left tho. When she heard the door open, she perked up. Red sighed.
   "I'm back..."
   Black smiled and motioned for him to come back and continue cuddling, Pink wasn't really in the mood anymore but he accepted anyways. The cuddle session lasted a long while, and it gave Black an emotional boost bigger than any happy pill would give her. They eventually began to wonder the camp. Black did her tasks, Pink searched for opportunities.
   They came across comms, what was inside was rather surprising to Black, Pink, and Red. It was Maroon, the almighty leader of the group, kissing Gray. It was rather romantic too. They were talking to each other about something quietly. Pink averted Black's gaze and continued walking with her.
   Despite Gray hating Purple and Forte, Pink would have thought that Maroon would at least dislike Gray. But the two of them were being wholesome and gay with eachother so Pink stands corrected.
   Pink then ran into yellow, who seemed unfazed by it.
   "Ayo, Red-Pink is alone in admin and I'm on cooldown"
   Pink nodded, he looked at Black. She whimpered.
  "Go do your tasks, Black.. I'll be right with you"
   He smiled charmingly, she nodded slightly but she was upset by the fact that he was gonna kill.
