I opened my eyes and looked around the room seeing that I was wearing new shorts and a new hoodie from when I first came here. The babies...
I covered my face and immediately started crying silently thinking about the situation. My babies. I could have had they we were so close. I put my hand on my stomach not feeling anything letting me know it wasn't a dream and had relay happened my stomach was hard and I noticed that my six-pack was already back.
He must have healed me.
I watched as the door opened and Rani walked in looking at me.
"How long have I been sleeping?" I asked her.
"About 2-3 days now. Your vitals are good though and you're looking completely healthy. How are you feeling though?" She asked me as I sat up pulling my hood over my head. I wiped my face and sighed looking at her.
"Rani, are my babies dead?" I asked her as she reached her hand out to me. I grabbed it and slowly got up as she removed my IV and all of the other wires connected to me. I healed the small hole that the IV left and could feel like my power and strength were back. We walked down the hall and into another room where I saw two clear bassinets and quickly walked over to them crying as I looked at their little faces. My babies.
"So...it was touch and go for a while. They weren't breathing and they went cold and it was just really traumatic, but I kept a close eye on them and they managed to pull through. So now you have two healthy little boys. Which one is Harlem and which one is Cairo?" She asked me with a smile.
"Um, th-wait. Heir didn't name them?" I asked her as her smile slowly faltered.
"No one has seen or heard from Heir since the other day. He felt so bad about hurting you and the babies he broke down and then he left and he won't answer me in his head, his phone, he's not at the house, nothing. We don't know where he is Ciro. I'm really sorry," she spoke as I nodded my head sadly.
Heir?
Nothing. I felt my heart breaking more and looked at the babies sniffling. One looked closer to Heir and the other looked closer to me. It could have been my delusion, but no.
"This one is Harlem and this was Cairo. Harlem and Cairo Hayes," I spoke picking Cairo up gently kissing his face before sitting him back down and grabbing Harlem. I kissed his face too as laid him back down before sitting down and covering my face.
"Ciro, you ok?" She spoke as I shook my head.
"This wasn't how this was supposed to go! I was supposed to do this the right way! He is supposed to be here right now while we talk about how happy we are to have our babies and stare in awe at our kids. Our twins...he's supposed to be here. I need him...did he even see them? Hold them? Anything?" I asked her as she shook her head making me sniff and wipe my face. "When can I take them home?"
