Chapter 5

Sooji's Pov:

I got bullied and Harin just kissed me.
My brain is now full of curiosity. Is that because of having zero votes? Did they just do that because of that game? I want to know why, and someone's already stole my first kiss. Aishhh I hate it!!! And one more thing is that she's a girl. Harin-ah why did you do that???

I get bored on our class, my mind is elsewhere, and I tried to process things that happened from last week.

Now, Jaeun is present in our class. She's still the person that I knew from the start, playing dumb and doesn't care in her surroundings. I'm about to speak to her when Do ah suddenly shut everyone and announced that there's a trip and camp for our whole section next week on thursday until saturday. After the announcement, the girls make noise, then I caught Harin glancing at me behind her. She then smile but I didn't even make any facial expression.

I saw Jaeun's playing with her pen like she doesn't even care of anything. I attempted to ask her again to eat with me later because it seems like she doesn't have any friends here.

I tapped her shoulder gently then ask her " Jaeun, can we eat together? I can share my snacks with you" I said while wearing the smile on my face.

"No thanks" she briefly replied

Aishhh. Why is she being so mean.
I think this is the reason why no one's gonna be friends with her.

Fast Forward....

I decided to chase Jaeun, and she came to the rooftop. She's standing there alone eye viewing the whole campus.

"So, why can't you just ask me to go here with you? I have some snacks. Let's eat here together. I think you don't like staying in a place where you see a lot of people". I said then she just turned her self to face me.

"Can you please stop chasing me?" She said with a cold tone.

"No! Please Jaeun-ah, I need your help please".. I begged.

"What's with the game? I mean the Pyramid Game, can you please tell me what is it all for? Is the game made to bully someone when it has zero votes? Please tell me".. I begged again.

"Yes, that's the point, but I know it's all my fault. Have you joined the game??" Jaeun straight replied.
Wow! That's the most longest response that I have heard from her.

Anyway! So I get it now.

"But who made the game??"

"Baek Harin" someone spoke behind me. No way I thought Jaeun would answer that, but to my surprise it was Im Yerim. She is the popular, talented and idol in our class.

"What?? Baek Harin? But why?? "
I said while being confused.

"You will find out" Yerim simply replied.

I went home with answers to my questions about that stupid game last week. It's actually a brutal game that will rank everyone using the votes, then if you can't get at least 1 vote, you'll be a Grade F . What's the reason of this? Why does Harin made this game... That's what I want to find out.

Fast forward......

Today is the day where our whole class will have a nature trip and camp. I prepared my tent and clothes and other needs since our destination is on the island which is not too far from our city.

We arrived at exactly 3pm, then we were grouped with four members each group. I am with Jaeun, Yerim, and Jaeyeong. I decided to share a tent with Jaeun while Yerim and Jaeyeong for another tent.

On the other hand, Harin is with Do ah, Woo yi, and Eunbyeol.

My group decided to grill beef steak, and it seems like Jaeun is slowly getting well and having fun with us now.

Flashback......

Please help me to stop this cruel game, please Jaeun-ah. This is not for you only, but to all off us. Harin is a psycho, and I need your help to stop her. I said begging Jaeun.

Okay okay, I'll tell you everything. I trust you with this. Jaeun replied that made me wear my biggest smile on my face.

End of flashback...

It's 9:00pm, each of us released sky lanterns. Meanwhile, I see Jaeun smiling, and this is the first time that I saw her smiling like this, and I can't deny that she's cute. I know she's starting to have fun with us now. On the other hand, I can see Harin in my peripheral vision, and I can feel that she's facing towards my direction. I turned my head on where she's standing realizing that she's actually staring at me. We made eye contact for a seconds, then turned my head in another direction.

Harin's Pov:

I can't keep my eyes away from Sooji.
I can still see her beautiful posture and cute face as she turned her head to me. On the other hand, I don't like the idea of Jaeun being with Sooji. I hate it, but I have to calm my self now and just enjoy.

I vanished from where my classmates are, then I decided to check Sooji, and to my surprise, she's not there. I wandered my eyes around, then I caught Sooji walking away from her group and I followed her gaze.

I followed her without being caught by anyone. Her direction is going to the darker side of the island, then she stopped–found her sitting on the seashore. I walked closer to her direction, then sat beside her...
