The girl didn't find herself in a favourable position, in fact, just one wrong move could land her a one-way ticket to hell.
She attempted to even her breath as she scanned her surroundings, four different teams at a stalemate, a death match between Hunter and prey, and just so happens both her target and the one hunting her happened to be here at the same time. It was a battle that promised certain death, and she decided that it wasn't going to be her - at least that's what she hoped.
Badge number 99, Killua, was in front of her, and hunting her, were the three brothers, their badge number she couldn't recall, not that it mattered as their threat to her was negligible. Her real concern was the one concealed behind the trees, tailing her ever since the beginning of phase four.
It wasn't a favourable position at all. But she didn't expect anything less on Zevil Island, where their sole purpose was to hunt.
She peered to badge number 99, her assigned target, hands in his pocket, not a worry in the world and as cocky as ever, looking down at everyone like they were mere ants that he could crush whenever he wanted - and the most infuriating part was that he could. She was well aware of that.
To her, this moment decided her people's future; to the brothers, it was about passing the exam; to Killua, it was a pass-time; to the man hiding behind the shadows, this was a killing spree. His intent to kill was strong, and it wasn't hard to tell that it was directed at her.
Killua's grin was subtle yet damaging.
"Want me to help?" His tone was at ease, and painfully condescending.
Again, she remained silent, silently refusing his potentially life-saving offer.
However her situation spoke otherwise, three days she was awake for and the exhaustion struck her like a train - it was likely that she wouldn't be able to hold on for much longer. He knew that, as he was a big reason for that exhaustion.
Again he asked, "want me to help?"
This time, her eyes met his blue ones, as she was reminded her lack of options.
Number 99, killua, smiled. A smile that was without warmth, a smile that chilled her heart, a smile without its nature. He didn't offer her a helping hand out of the kindness of his heart - that much she knew, and the terrifying part was she didn't seem to have a choice. There was something, number 99, Killua, wanted.
She held her gaze and apparently it was enough evidence to Killua to take that as a yes.
He extended out a hand, a smile still plastered on his features.
"Let's start by saying please."
