"So, who are you, and what are your intentions with my little girl?" my mom asked, holding my phone up to her ear as I attempted to grab it repeatedly, while she continued to push me away.

"Mom, give me my damn phone," I said, continuing to reach for it. Right now, it's taking everything in me to not snatch it from her without getting punched.

"I-I Uh Um" Jennie stuttered nervously as my mother kept on pressuring her.

"I don't speak mumble, girl. Speak English to me," my mom said sternly, narrowing her eyes at me as I finally grabbed my phone from her hands and pressed it up to my ear, widening my eyes at my mother.

"Sorry J, I'm gonna have to talk to you later " I said sounding a bit pissed off before I hung up my phone.

"Give me one really good reason why I shouldn't be pissed off at what you did just now," I said, sounding seriously angry as my mother crossed her arms.

"Because I gave you life, and I don't wanna hear a word you got to say out of that slick-ass mouth. I was trying to get to know the girl," my mom said, trying to defend her case as I closed my eyes, rolled them, and walked away from my mother, heading towards the parking lot, biting my tongue.

"Interrogation does not count as getting to know someone, mom!" I said, shouting across the lot as I headed inside my car. She shook her head at me as I put the key into the ignition and started my car.

"If it's to protect you, I don't see why I shouldn't do some damn background checks! And you better invite her to the family dinner tomorrow night!" she yelled back as I instantly pulled out of the parking lot and sped down the driveway.

"I swear if I die from embarrassment, it's my mother's fault," I said, gripping the steering wheel as I drove home. I proceeded to head home and get ready for my night with Jennie.

*Later that night*

"You alright, baby? You've been awfully quiet tonight," Jennie said, rubbing my temple in circles with her thumb as we lay on my couch with my JBL softly blaring throughout the room.

"I'm sorry about that phone call from earlier. My mom thought it was a bright idea to rudely introduce herself to you during our conversation," I say, sighing as she pouts lightly.

"It's not your fault, Y/n. I understand your mom was just trying to look out for you, baby. No worries," Jennie smiles as I hang my head, sighing.

"She also wants me to invite you to this family dinner we're having tomorrow night. That is, if you wanna come?" I ask, rubbing the back of my neck nervously as Jennie simply smiles angelically.

"Of course I do, baby. You know I'd like to meet your family. After all, we are getting closer," she said, snuggling up to me like a teddy bear.

"I just want you to be happy, is all, and not interrogated at the dinner table," I said before Jennie pecked my lips.

"First off, I'm happy whenever I'm with you. Second of all, don't worry about me. I'm a strong woman; I can handle myself," she says proudly, looking into my eyes, causing me to smile and look down.

"I swear, that's one of the things I love about you: loving and caring yet confident and independent," I say, causing her to gasp before I look up, raising an eyebrow, until I realize I said the word "love."

"D-Did you just say you love me?" she stuttered as I blushed deeply, swallowing the lump in my throat before responding to what she had asked.

"I love you, Jennie Rubyjane Kim. If that's wrong, I refuse to be right. If it's a crime, put me in handcuffs and don't even give me a trial. I'm guilty as charged," I say proudly as she clutches her chest and simply flashes me the biggest gummy smile, then leaps onto my lap.

"I love you too, Y/n Y/l/n, so damn much. You haven't the slightest clue how good it feels to hear you say it at last," she says, slowly becoming teary-eyed. I give her a soft and gentle kiss as I entangle my fingers in her luxurious mane.

"I love you, I love you," I said breathlessly, kiss after kiss, as the next song played, definitely putting Jennie in the mood, considering she loved this song...

"Saranghae my sweet" She says bopping my nose with her fingers as she leaned in for another kiss as the rest of the night was filled with nothing but I love you's and kisses that just sent both of us on cloud nine..
