Last summer I went fishing with my Grandfather whom I call Lolo Daddy. It was one of the best memories with him because I never got to experience fishing in Manila. Besides I don't usually go out. I always stay at home playing with Lilo my cousin, sometimes I go bake with Mom and my aunties or I'll spend my whole day trying to build my sandcastle at the seashore.
Although my summer may look so dull but I always had this fun and unique experience that I haven't encountered last summer.
And as I am about to unfold a new chapter this summer, maybe I'll try my best to try new things. I know there's so much more to see outside our beach house.

Oh how I loved the view by just picturing it on my mind...
Yes, it's still the same.
My beloved Ilocos Norte.
My ancestors from my father's side has a beach house here, it is huge, it is wide, and it is built for our annual family vacation.
The beach house is actually located in a village where it is near the beach. We are so lucky because we're at the beachfront. Most of the houses there are also beach houses mainly for vacation only but there are also a lot of rich families who live there.
And guess what? For my fifteen years of living and fifteen years of going home here, I never got to experience stepping out of our tall and huge gate.
I'm not that young anymore.
Argh! I missed that competition!
"Ayan kase you're too bagal to get up! Hindi tuloy kami nakasali ni Lilo!" I blamed Kuya Aster.
"Hoy I slept late na kaya!" singhal niya.
"Oh yeah? As if you're not busy playing dress ups on your ipad?!" the tables have turned.
"Oh stop! At least I'm the early bird!" defending myself as if I was on blame.
"Yes cuz you're excited to build your sandcastle!" he laughed so hard as if it's funny.
"And what's wrong with building sandcastle!?" I burst.
"You two stop or I'll kick your ass out of my car!" Kuya Niall butt in.
Just a normal day with my Kuyas. Kuya Aster is my number one enemy, and Kuya Niall as the middle man acting like he's Daddy.
"Aurora, you can't join the contest na. You're too old na, and also try to go out rather than building your sandcastle." anang Kuya Niall.
