"You want to adopt Preeti's daughter," Roop questioned with a sense of concern in her tone.

Shaurya joined her in the bed, lying next to her. Roop was supporting her weight with one elbow but was pulled in his embrace with force. She lay down on his with her chin on his chest.

"Yes. We all knew that one day Preeti would be punished for her deeds. Knowing her actions I can say that she will be sentenced to a lifetime jail. It was her mistake not her daughter. After Preeti, that child would be alone and we want to punish Preeti, not her daughter," he interpreted his thoughts," She is just four years old. Just four. After her mother, she will have no one behind her. Roop, i can feel the pain of not having a mother —,"

His voice trailed off remembering his childhood where he has always been lonely since the day his mother left. The suffering and trauma he felt then were still freshly printed on his mind.

"Shhh..don't need to think about the past," Roop whispered, pulling him closer making his head chest on her chest.

Brushing his hair slightly away from his forehead with her long slender fingers, she tried to calm him down. She can try her best to make him oblivion those thoughts but some things can never leave.

Those thoughts will engulf you completely until you find only pain and suffering. He hasn't forgotten his past. It's that he has learned how to live in the present and think of the future and not past.

"Roop, I don't want that little soul to suffer like me without her mother. Will you support me in this decision?" he asked in a sense of hope. Hoping that she will understand him and will agree with his decision.

"I will and will always support you in your every decision. We will love her like our own child. Give her all the happiness she deserves. We won't let Preeti's deeds define her future," she replied with her voice carrying a determination and approval of his decision.

With a sudden move, Shaurya stood up on his knees. Seeing him like this Roop also stood on her knees in front of him.

Surprised and disbelief was conveyed by his face and its expression. Holding her both palms in his he stared into her eyes with adoration.

"Roop, are you? I mean you really want us to adopt her. After she comes into our life all our attention will shift to her and we won't have much time for us—," he breathed out before continuing saying,"—You won't regret it in the future?"

His voice sound low with a sense of distressed. It's been only a few weeks since they confessed their love and if a sudden child comes into their lives, they have to give their all time and attention.

"Shaurya, why would I regret it? That child will make our relationship stronger and will fill our lives with her contiguous laughter and smile. I am ready to take responsibility for a child," she whispered back while tightening her hold around his hands.

The next day, at court.

"Mrs. Kavya Vihaan Singh Rajput has been accused of murdering Nikhil Shrivastava while he was in the police van, going to the new police station. Mrs. Rajput has been also accused for involving in illegal activities and being a partner of Nikhil in his criminal world," The judge stated with a heaviness dripping from his tone," Do you have to say something or do you accept the accusation and your crime," He exclaimed with seriousness while fixing his specs.

Vihaan was praying silently inside his mind that she would tell the truth or deny accepting the accusation. All the other three brothers were also just thinking about this. Even though Preeti was just sitting behind them only, ready to confess her crime. They were still in the puddle of stress.
