Yin POV:
"Yinnn!! Wait!!"
Ugh. This boy again.
There is this cute boy on my campus whose aura is always yellow.
Yellow means happiness and joy in a nutshell.
Yes.
I can understand how people are feeling by looking at their aura. I see them in colors.
Of course, it wasn't this easy from the start. Every individual is so complex and can feel a lot of things at the same time. Also, their feelings can change quickly. But I learned what the colors meant like I was learning how to talk.
So... over the years, I also learned just to ignore the colors if they are not persistent. I only considered emotions that are set in stone for a long while.
I only did something about this knowledge of mine when there was a need. For example, if a person is constantly scared or angry, I am getting worried about serious abuse or something.
When I was little, I was telling my parents about that and they were the ones who were investigating and taking action accordingly.
Now that I am older, I try to do everything by myself.
My parents know this ability of mine for a long time. It's not like it's a family speciality. From the looks of it, I didn't inherit this from anyone.
I just borned that way.
"Yinnn"
Cute boy came to my side. His aura is shining bright like the sun.
"What is it?"
"Nothing. I didn't want my day to end without talking to you." He smiled so bright. His dimples were showing.
"You are finished with your classes?"
"Yes. Do you want to hang out?"
"I... am busy with... ughm. Something."
His aura flickered as if it was going to change colors, but it didn't.
"It's okay. Maybe later then."
"Sure War."
War was finding me everywhere on campus like he was a puppy and I was the owner. It has been couple of weeks now.
I have no idea where did he come from. One day, I was sitting with my friends at the cafeteria, and he just put his tray next to mine and sit down. Introducing himself.
Turns out, we were in the same faculty but in different departments. I thought he was having a good day when I first saw his shining, joyful aura.
However, it became clear to me over the weeks that his aura was constant.
It freaked me out.
Who is happy all the time?
And I have no reason to investigate this because it is not a bad emotion.
At the end of the day, it's good that he is feeling happy, right?
"Yin. Can I ask you for something?"
"Yeah."
"Can we be friends? I really want to get to know you better."
Friends?
I thought he liked me.
"You want to be friends?"
War nodded his head as a yes in a fast pace while still showing me his dimples.
