Bangchan decided that he and Seungmin would be responsible for food. Changbin and Felix were tasked with finding other supplies like blankets, flashlights, weapons, and so on. I was responsible for patrols within the shelter. Seungmin and Bangchan left, leaving just me, Changbin, and Felix.

"So, what was your life like before the apocalypse?" Changbin asked out of nowhere, sitting beside me on the floor.

"It was normal. I lived with my mom in an apartment near my school."

"What school did you attend?" he asked.

"Ham High School," I replied.

"That's the same school Seungmin and I attended!" he exclaimed excitedly.

"That's cool!" I said.

We spent some time chatting about school when I heard a loud noise coming from the room we used as a kitchen.

After Chan and Seungmin left, Changbin stayed behind to chat with the girl. Feeling hungry, I decided to grab something to eat. There wasn't much in the kitchen, but there was a can of tuna in the higher cabinet.

I grabbed a chair to try and reach the can, but I lost my balance.

"Ahh!" the chair toppled over. I hit my head on the adjacent cabinet, breaking the door and causing a loud crash.

The girl and I heard a noise from the other room.

"Felix!" she exclaimed. We both got up and rushed to the adjacent room.

Felix was lying on the floor, rubbing his bloody head, next to a toppled chair and a broken cabinet.

"Whoa!" the girl rushed to his side and sat down.

"Changbin, can you grab the first aid kit, please?" she asked, concern evident in her voice. She held his wound to stop the bleeding.

I returned with the kit and handed it to her.

As she cleaned and bandaged Felix's head, he explained why he fell.

"Hey, Felix. Why did you fall?" I asked, cleaning up the blood from the floor.

"Oh, I was trying to reach for cookies in the top cabinet," he explained.

I chuckled. He just gave me a dirty look.

"All done!" the girl said.

"Thanks," Felix smiled at her.

I put things back while the girl and Felix continued talking.

"So, what's your name?" he asked.

Oh, I had forgotten to ask her name!

"Hae Won. Kang Hae Won!" she replied.

They continued chatting until Bangchan and Seungmin arrived.

Seungmin and I got plenty of food. So, we decided to head back to the shelter.

We opened the door.

"Changbin! We're back!" he shouted.

We went upstairs and threw our things onto the sofa.

Felix was talking to the girl, with his head all bandaged up.

"Holy crap, Felix, what happened?" Seungmin said, visibly angry.

"He fell off a chair," Changbin replied calmly.

"Oh my god, Felix, you're so careless! We'll have one less person for patrols, and you even broke the cabinet and the chair!" Seungmin yelled.

"Stop yelling at him. It wasn't intentional. You should try to understand people before jumping into fights like this. He's injured. You should be nice to him instead of yelling," the girl defended Felix before Seungmin could advance.

"Fine" Seungmin murmurs, sitting on the puff beside Changbin.

Hae Won defended Felix, and I couldn't help but feel a twinge of jealousy. They all seem to be becoming fast friends. I bet it was her who helped him and tended to his wound. No, no, Seungmin, you don't have feelings for her. You don't even know her name! Wait! I don't know her name!

"Hey, what's your name?" I asked, breaking the silence.

"Hae Won. Kang Hae Won," she replied, smiling.

I'm relieved she's already treating me normally. She's cute.

"Hey, does anyone still have their phone?" Changbin asked.

"I do," Felix said.

"Me too!" Hae Won added.

"Uh, I do too," I spoke up.

"Great. We have three phones. Each group can have one. Seungmin and I can use his phone. Felix and Changbin can have Felix's phone. And Hae Won's phone can stay here in the shelter, so we can call from here," Bangchan decided.

Hae Won brought some canned corn for dinner. Then we took turns showering.

After I showered, I changed into my pajamas. All of the boys were already in the living room, scattered around the place.

"Uh, guys, you're all exhausted. It's better if we all go to sleep now," I suggested.

"You're right. We should organize who's sleeping with whom," Seungmin nodded.

"Okay. We have two rooms. One with a bunk bed and one with three king bed mattresses on the floor," Bangchan explained.

"Me and Changbin can share a room. You, Felix, and Hae Won can share the other," he continued, distributing the pillows and blankets.

Felix and I grabbed our stuff and went to the room.

"I want the one in the middle," I said, pointing to the mattress in the middle and throwing my pillow, blankets, and backpack.

Seungmin laughed and threw himself on the mattress next to the window.

Felix smiled and placed his things beside his mattress.

"Um, guys, how was your life before all of this?" I asked, already feeling cozy in my makeshift bed, snuggling with my blanket.

"Well, I lived with my mom, dad, and brother. He didn't make it. I went to the same school as you and Changbin. I like playing soccer," Seungmin shared.

"Oh, I'm sorry for your loss," I said sympathetically.

"Don't be," he replied, smiling sadly.

"Ah, I lived with my friends in the school dorm," Felix began.

"I went to UMP High School. I love basketball," he spoke.

"What about your family?" I asked.

"I didn't have a good relationship with them, so I don't really care," he shrugged.

"Oh."
