Prologue

A long, long, time ago, in a realm not so far, far away, there was a kingdom. This kingdom was ruled by immortal beings called "manticores", and this kingdom also had a princess. This princess was beautiful, talented, and loved by all in her kingdom that she would soon rule. She was known as "The Princess of Purity, Fire, and Passion", but that had all changed when she was kidnapped by a Demon known as "The Dark Prince of Lust".

(The Dark Prince of Lust is a character used in a comic called Carnal Kingdom. All characters referenced to will be mentioned and accounted for at the end of each part in parentheses like so)

~This is what happened that night~

*Princess Laurena's View*

It all happened so fast. One moment, I see a black figure in my bedchamber, in the next moment, I'm being held and whispered to.

"Shhh... Don't scream my lovely little tart."

Lovely little tart? What kind of title is that? What in the realms is this male being doing in my bedchamber?! What in the realms is he? Why is he holding onto me so tight? Why does he have my eyes covered? And, by the Gods and Godesses, why does he not want me to scream?! He's in my chamber, without my or my father's  granted permission! Who does he think he is?! He's not a King nor a Prince! He's not even a Noble for that matter! My father would announce his arrival and he surely wouldn't be in my bedchamber unsupervised!

"Your mind is conjuring up interesting thoughts fairly quickly, my dear Princess."

Och! He hissed that last word right into my ear! I hope he never does that again. His tongue brushed against my ear whilst he did so as well. What a disgusting, inappropriate, vile--

"Now, Princess, you mustn't truly mean what you think, do you? No, I thought not. You are the kind, loyal, and loving princess I have heard so much praise of, are you not?"

"Wha-"

"Princess, allow me to properly introduce myself." He said while kneeling onto one knee and taking my hand into his.

Placing his other hand upon his heart, he said, "I am Samael, The Dark-Winged Prince of Luster, Ruler of Carnal, Head of the 4th sector in the Demon Under-realm. I have come here to ask you, Laurena, The Princess of Purity, Fire, and Passion, Future Ruler of Solaren, to become my Queen."

(Yes I made those edits to his title on purpose. You'll see why)

"I-I-I- I do not know how to properly respond. I- How did- Does my-" I attempted to speak while my cheeks seemed to burn. I have not the slightest idea why. Nor do I know why I stammered.

"My dear, sweet Princess, please do not worry. I understand you must be quite befuddled. Your name is known and praised in many realms, including my own. Your father had sent me a formal invitation to a ball that would be held in your honor. He had asked me not to inform you of the event for it was to be a 'surprise gift' for your celebratory day of birth. I was also informed that other Noblemen and Royals from all of the other realms were expected to appear as well. I beg of thee forgiveness and pardon if my intentions may seem selfish, but I could not accept the idea of such a fair being, like yourself, to be put into the grasp of a monster. That is why I have come to you before the day could approach." His eyes seemed to glisten whilst he was telling me this proclamation.

"I see... My dear sir, without my father's written consent for my hand, I simply can not accept your proposal. I admire your selflessness to protect me from unspeakable harms, but until my father gives his blessing, I must decline. I am deeply sorry." I said as I bowed my head and my eyes began to burn.

That was when his demeanor changed. He stood. His eyes suddenly glowed red. Black, feathered wings emerged from his back. Something began to slither along the floor towards me. A spirit-servant? Some kind of serpent? No... It was a tail... and there were several of them coming towards me.

"I was hoping you would be a good girl and cooperate." He growled, "But, alas, a good girl like you always follows the rules set before her."

My vision suddenly went dark. My ears, ringing. I have no recollection of the events that occurred after. That is, not until the next day.
