*New Character's View*
I had my arm around his waist; his arm was around my shoulder. The tips of his fingers were making their way through my hair. It was morning now. The sun was just starting to rise. I looked up at the beautiful sky above- its shades of blues and purples slowly changing to a soft pink with hints of orange. He was looking at me now. I could tell because I saw the sparkle in his eyes from the corner of my own.
I sighed, "I hope he's still here.."
"Oh, he'll still be here for sure." He was smirking at this point. "See, there's been a new addition for him to break in, so it's very likely he'll just be waking up from a rather long night by the time we get there."
He kissed my cheek. The feeling of his warm breath and soft lips on my skin gave me chills- the good kind of chills.
"I sure hope he is.. I'd hate to have somehow missed him."
"Don't worry, mon amour, we'll make it just in time."
He kissed my cheek again and we continued walking along the road. Usagi is a close friend of ours, and we always try to visit him after this "event" he's always talked about. I'm not exactly sure what this event is, but apparently it's not meant to entertain men with my sexual preference. Yes, I am a man- who loves men. Did I lead you to think otherwise? Heheh, it wouldn't surprise me. It used to be my job to trick men into thinking I wasn't also a man. In fact, it's because of that job that I am now with my fiancé. Yes, that is what I mean. I didn't trick him, because he already knew- and very much liked what he knew.
Nostalgia aside, we hadn't expected to be greeted at the door by a small, tan girl.
"Ah, hello sir, madame, welcome to the Castle of Prince Samael- The Dark Prince and Founder of Carnal Kingdom. My name is Kurai," She bowed, "How may I help you two?"
"Eh, I'm actually a sir, as well, Miss Kurai."
"Oh, my! I apologize," She bowed, "I hope I did not offend you, sir."
"Oh, no, no. It's quite alright, dear."
Xii, my fiancé, butted in by clearing his throat. "Ah, Miss- Kurai, was it?" She nodded. "We're here to visit a friend of ours. Ah, he's a Rabbit-being by the name of-"
"Usagi?"
"Er, yes, that would be him."
"Right this way, sirs, I know exactly who you're talking about- and where to find him."
So, we of course followed, but what we didn't expect was to be taken to the medical wing. I say we because both Xii and I looked at each other with shock. Had something happened to our dear friend? Well, that was answered when the small girl opened the door.
"Oh, bunny-boy~ You have some visitors." She giggled childishly.
"What? How? I don't- Huh?"
We stepped into the room. Kurai had shut the door behind us rather quietly. I was very glad to see my friend was safe, but what caught me off guard was he was at a beautiful- yet strange- girl's bedside. She had a tube in her mouth. The rhythmic "beep" from the monitor was the only thing breaking the long silence between us.
"Ma-Macaw? Xii? Is that really you? What are you two doing here?"
"We came to see you, of course, silly. Why else would we be here?" I was rather shocked he actually asked us. At the same time, it also worried me.
"Usagi, do you know this girl? I- I'm sorry, but I don't recognize her- and I don't think you've ever talked about her. I'd remember you describing someone like this, if you had."
