CHAPTER SEVEN

Taking the rest of the weekend to rest, get myself together and come Monday morning I'm ready to face everyone.

Arriving at the bau, I can sense everyone watching me, waiting to ask every question on their minds, with a sign I turn to them "what? Go on ask, I know you want to." The questions come all at once
"When did it start"
"How did you find out"
What's going to happen now"
"Did you love him" taking a second to get my baring I say "it started a couple months going, I found out when I woke up and heard him on the phone, nothing is happening now, it's done and yes I did love him" taking a breath before Derek speaks up "are you okay?" "No. But I will be"
Penelope come and give me a soul crushing hug "we love you, and we'll be here for you hunnybunch" "thanks PG"

It was a paperwork day so it went by slowly. By the time I got home I was ready to pass out, opening the door I freeze, my entire apartment is filled with pink peonies, my favourite flower. Picking up the card "I know I really messed up, I can't imagine a life without you in it. I will spend my life to earn back your trust. I love you my angel." I cover my mouth with my hand, turning around I see him at my door "how did you know peoples are my favourite"
"Your second case at the bau, you and Emily were talking about your perfect date 'pink peonies, picnic and star gazing' "
"How do you remember that?" I question
"I remember everything you say"
"I thought you hated me then"
"I never hated you. I hated the fact that I couldn't keep my eyes off you. I hated the idea of falling for a coworker" my breath catches, taking a few steps towards him "Aaron, these are beautiful but I don't know if I can, you really hurt me. I can't just forget that."
"I'm not asking you too, I'm just asking for a chance to make it up to you"
Facing away from him I ask "what about Beth?"
"I never wanted Beth, I want you. I only brought her to Rossi's because she insisted on meeting everyone."
" I need to think about it" "of course" Before the leaves he says "I love you angel" shaking my head he cups my face in his hands "you take your time, make your decision but until then I'm going to keep reminding you that I love you" with that he turns to leave
"Aaron" I shout, he stop "I grab his face in my hands and bring his lips to mine "I love you too" with a smile he kisses me again "we can't just go straight back to how it was, but I don't want to lose you either."
"We'll work on it angel, we'll rebuild the trust."
