Saturday

As I prepared for my first outing with classmates from my new school, anticipation danced with nerves in my mind. With a glance at the clock reading 9:20 AM, I realised time was slipping away—I needed to be there by 11. Downstairs, amidst the morning hustle, my parents greeted me.

"What time should I drop you off at the mall?" Mum inquired, her tone laced with a hint of humour.

"Maybe around 10:45," I replied, mentally calculating the time needed for my preparations.

"Well, you better hurry. We know how long it takes you to get ready," she teased, a knowing smile gracing her lips.

"Okay, okay," I chuckled, grabbing a quick fix of matcha ice coffee before retreating back upstairs. In front of my wardrobe, I faced the daunting decision of what to wear, shuffling through options like a fashion roulette, hoping to land on the perfect ensemble.
