It was a warm spring evening, Twilight was sitting in her castle as usual, this year she was organizing the celebration of the summer sun festival, which involved many responsibilities.
The princess lay on a fluffy, dark purple carpet and wrote down what was most important to her.
"Wow...so many tasks and so little time..." - replied the mare, getting up from the soft material.
At that moment she started calling for her assistant.
"Spike! Spike! Spiiikeee!"
Finally, the dragon ran to the room she was in.
"I'm listening Twilight, what's going on?" - he asked, wiping his little dragon paws on his pink apron.
"Have you packed? I remind you that tomorrow we are leaving for Canterlot, all the girls are already packed, and they are staying with us tonight"
Spike gave his friend a relaxed smile.
"Let me just remind you that when you found out that the princess asked you to prepare for the sun festival this year, you started packing us in a hurry a week ago"
Twilight felt stupid.
"Oh..really?" - she asked, giving the dragon a goofy smile.
Spike walked up to the mare and patted her on the shoulder.
"I think you're worrying too much about all this, Twilight, you're a great organizer and if Celestia put you in charge of this, that means one thing, she trusts you one hundred percent"
The princess grimaced at her friend's statement, then grabbed him roughly and brought him closer to her face.
"Exactly!! Celestia trusts me and I can't let her down! Do you know what will happen if I can't do it!?" - she shouted, then dropped the dragon from her hooves, causing him to fall to the ground.
The dragon grimaced and rubbed his back.
"Oh stop, I'm reminding you that you won't be alone in all this, you just said that your friends are going with you, and of course me, calm down, don't get too excited" - he replied, and stood up - "and now, back to baking," - he said, and disappeared behind the green door.
Twilight just sighed, the noise of doors echoing throughout the castle, as if someone had just broken into the castle.
The mare got up to see what happened, but it turned out that it was just her friends.
"Twilight, darling!" - Rarity exclaimed, hugging her friend.
The princess looked at the open door.
"Sorry...I like rough entrances!" - said Pinkie Pie jumping.
Then a blue mare, a pegasus, flew in, doing a few pirouettes in the air, after a short while of showing off, she finally landed on the floor.
"I'm here!"
"Rainbow Dash, could you stop showing off, otherwise you won't go to Canterlot, only ponies with good manners go there!" - the white mare shouted, straightening her mane.
Rainbow and Applejack looked at each other, laughing to themselves.
"Gee, calm down, I just wanted to say hello to our princess!"
"Rainbow Dash, how many times do I have to tell you not to call me that," - Twilight asked seriously.
"Put that modesty in your pocket, my dear, otherwise I wouldn't hide it so much," - added Rarity, batting her long eyelashes.
The friends laughed.
"You know what? I brought us masks and home-made cucumber sandwiches for this evening!" - Fluttershy replied, landing gently on the ground and putting the basket aside.
"How great!" - Pinkie Pie commented.
"Sandwiches will work...but are masks mandatory?" - Rainbow asked.
"Rainbow Dash, you are a mare just like us, let yourself be carried away by this feminine care for once, instead of acting like..a savage" - Rarity replied
"Girls, we'll find time for everything, I suggest you unpack first," - said Twilight, walking towards their shared bedroom.
Her friends did not protest and followed her.

------------------------

The mares were sitting on the warm floor, each of them was busy with something else, Twilight was just finishing another organizational list.
Rarity looked at the mare with an uncertain smile.
"Darling, isn't this another list you're writing?" - she asked.
"You can never have too many letters!" - she replied with sincerity in her voice.
And at the same time, the dragon entered the room, on a plate he had sandwiches prepared by Flutrershy, he started handing them out to everyone.
"Oh Rarity, in case you don't know Twilight, she's great at everything except keeping herself under control at some point and not annoying everyone"
The alicorn just rolled his eyes, ignoring the dragon's comments.
Pinkie she was just reading the newspaper and looking at recipes for various types of delicacies, but when she turned the newspaper to the other side, a different topic began to appear.
Pasted on the page was a photo of the princesses, all surrounded by the royal guards.
"Oh my gosh, Twilight look, they're writing about you in the paper!" - she replied, pointing at the content with her hoof.
All the ponies approached the newspaper and the pink mare with interest and started reading the article as well, however, it didn't bother Twilight at all, she just continued with her work.
"Girls, it's probably normal that they write about me in the press...unfortunately"
"Too much modesty, darling!" - Rarity replied, when suddenly her attention was caught by a certain stallion, who was also captured in the photo, The mare laughed sweetly at the sight and looked at Twilight, who was still playing with her quill and ink.
"Twilight, that guard you liked is also here," - she replied, laughing.
"What guard again? Come to your senses Rarity, I'm focused on the task at hand"
Rainbow Dash, grabbed the newspaper and flew to her friend, and placed the newspaper on the important papers she was reading from.
She pointed her blue hoof at the photo, it turned out to be Flash, the princess blushed slightly at the sight of him.
"So, what do you feel?" - Rarity asked.
The princess gave the unicorn a questioning look.
"I mean what?"
The mares laughed, they hadn't heard Twilight stuttering for a long time.
"Gee...what are you talking about? We were sending each other letters, but we both have very important work, we lost contact and that's it, and I forgot about it"
The friends nodded ironically and burst out laughing again.
Twilight hid her face in her wings, feeling embarrassed and ashamed.
After half an hour all the ponies went to sleep, they knew they had a busy day ahead of them the next morning.
