"Okay so," Kali preps as he holsters a gun, "We know the girls are hidden in the center of the building, layers of security guards and security measures protecting them."

"Like what?" I cross my arms and stare at the blueprint.

"Like solid steel containment doors," Alita explains, "Everything is tapped, sound and video."

"So we need to confirm movements with you?"

"Almost every movement shall be reported to me," Alita nods, "The problem is Kali has about forty five guards to take out. With no backup. There are no windows or spots to snipe from and Eryx, you need to stay with Zyon. I don't care how bad Kali is doing."

I nod and Zyon glances between Kali and I. He says, "Why?"

I point at the group of girls' body heat ground and then to the ten guards standing outside of the room going in and out, "That's why. Those guys won't leave their position and you, Zyon, have to stay pretty."

"So pretty," Kali says as he loads his pistol.

"Oi. Fuck off," Zyon grins.

Kali flips him off and says, "Let's fuck it up, shall we?"

"Aliah ," I say into my wire as Zyon and I creep along an empty corridor, "We're approaching a hall, directions."

My voice is quiet, but still seems to echo. Not as loud as Zyon's untrained footsteps. They're quiet, but he hasn't mastered the deathly silence yet. Even Kali struggles to become as quiet as me. He is always amazed, but when you've been an assassin and hitman for half your life, you learn how to become darkness and death. You become everything that people fear as my trainer told me.

"Left," Alita says into my ear. I tuck my wings closer to my back as I hold my hand up in a fist. Zyon stops, so I can listen. I hear two muffled footsteps. I grab another three arrows from my spine and slide them into the thigh quiver as silently as I can. Zyon's breath is loud in my ear. I let out a silent breath as I nock an arrow. I spin around the corner and shoot where I hear a shout from. I release the next arrow into the other guard. Both fall, shot in the heart. I signal Zyon to come forward and we turn into the empty room and say, "K, all you."

"Finally." Insanity floods his voice. The alarms go off. I listen as guards run by us, tallying up footsteps in my head. When it's clear, I step out.

"Archer, all clear," Alita says and I continue forward. My bow is drawn. We work our way to the door between the girl's door and us and Zyon runs to the passcode box. He plugs his wires into the system as I lean on the wall, watching for movement. The door hisses open and I freeze at the sound of guards. I hold my hand up for Zyon to stay down. I nock an arrow as I hear footsteps heading down the hall we can from.

"Fuck," I let out tense breath, "Zy, get ready. Stay out of the fight til you absolutely have to."

"What's going on?" Alita says, worry flooding her voice.

"We have about thirty guards coming at us," I answer.

"How the fuck?" Kali's voice fills the mic, strained and delirious as he fights.

"Stay in your fight!" Zyon hisses at him.

I glance at him, "The second there is an opening, get to the girls."

I swing around and shoot three arrows into the first guards, my body immediately sinking into the void of the fight. Then I grab the next one with my bow and one hand snap his neck, throwing his body across my shoulder. I draw the bow, my body thrumming with survival instinct, and fire two quick arrows. The room fills with gunshots and I slam my power out and the bullets drop. The guards stare with confusion and I use it to my advantage. I shoot my arrows rapid fire taking out another ten guards easily, all of them shot in the heart. I grab my last arrow and let out a breath. This is going to fucking suck, I think as I draw my bow further back then any of my other shots and release it. It hits the sprinkler system and then bounces into a guard guided by my power.
