PRESENT
FRANCE "Fiori della Mente Psychiatric Institute"As he sat alone in the dimly lit room, the weight of his emotions bore down on him like a suffocating blanket. Tears welled up in his bloodshot eyes, each drop a testament to the agony he felt deep within his soul. He longed for her presence, for the warmth of her touch, but she was nowhere to be found.
Desperation clawed at his chest as he pleaded with the empty space around him. "Please, just come back," he implored, his voice barely a whisper. "I'll do anything, I swear. I'll seek treatment, I'll change, I'll become the person you need me to be. Just don't leave me here alone in the darkness."
"Where are you?" he cried out, his voice echoing in the silence. "I know I've faltered, but I need you... like a piece of my soul is missing without you here."
"Please come back to me," he pleaded, his voice breaking with emotion. "I can't face this darkness alone."
As she watched him unravel before her eyes, her own heart shattered into a million pieces. Tears welled up, blurring her vision as she struggled to comprehend the sudden depth of his anguish. In just five short days, he had transformed from the man she knew, who had faced his struggles with courage and resilience, into a shadow of his former self.
Questions swirled in her mind, each one a dagger to her already wounded heart. What had gone wrong? What had triggered this rapid decline in his mental state? She couldn't fathom how he had deteriorated so quickly, especially considering he had only experienced a few mild episodes in the past.
But amidst her confusion and pain, a fierce determination ignited within her. She vowed to uncover the truth, to delve into their shared past and unearth whatever demons haunted him. No matter the cost, no matter the obstacles she would face, she swore to stand by his side and fight for his healing.
With resolve burning in her brown eyes, she whispered into the silence, "I will find the answers, my love. I will tear down the walls that imprison you, and I will guide you back to the light. You are not alone in this battle, for I will be your unwavering support, your beacon of hope, forever by your side."
MUMBAIThree years ago, in the bustling city of Mumbai, at 8:45 am, the soft rays of the morning sun gently filtered through the curtains of Aanya's bedroom, casting a warm glow over her sleeping form. Amidst the peaceful silence, a faint murmur escaped her lips as she drifted in the realm of dreams. However, her tranquil slumber was abruptly interrupted by the sound of Anika's voice echoing through the room.
"Aanya!" Anika's voice pierced through the haze of sleep, instantly pulling Aanya back to reality. With a sudden jolt, her eyes shot open, confusion evident in her gaze.
Anika, her best friend and partner in crime, stood in the doorway, wearing a mischievous grin and exuding boundless energy even at this early hour. Dressed in a vibrant baby pink chikankari kurti and adorned with dangling earrings, Anika was the epitome of liveliness.
"You are still sleeping, Aanya? Get up! We are getting late for the meeting," Anika exclaimed, her voice laced with a hint of urgency.
Aanya groaned, her voice muffled by the pillow. "Uth rahi hu na subhe subhe, kyu chilla rahi hai? Bas thodi der to extra sone de mujhe.... gadhi kahi ki," she muttered, her words tinged with sleepiness.
( "Why are you shouting? I'm just getting up. I slept a little extra.")Anika rolled her eyes, a playful smirk playing on her lips. "Don't you think you are way too obsessed with donkeys?" she teased, raising an eyebrow at her friend's sleepy antics.
Ignoring Anika's taunt, Aanya buried her face deeper into the pillow. "Jo bhi, let me sleep two minutes more," she pleaded, her voice muffled by the fabric.
(Whatever)Anika shook her head in exasperation. "Have you seen the time? It's already 9:00, and we have to reach the hospital in 20 minutes," she declared, her tone now tinged with a sense of urgency.
Aanya's eyes flew open in alarm, her mind suddenly snapping to attention. "What? Why? Where..." she sputtered, her thoughts racing as she struggled to comprehend the situation.
"I mean, why the heck didn't you wake me up on time? Ab mai late ho jaungi tumhari wajh se," Aanya exclaimed, her voice rising in panic as she scrambled to get out of bed.
Anika sighed, shaking her head in amusement at her friend's dramatic reaction. "Haa, meri hi saari galti hoti hai, jaise ki mai hi roz jagti hu apne hare naitro wale rajkumar ke bare me sochte hue," she quipped, unable to resist teasing Aanya once again.
( Yes blame me only it's my fault that I always dream about my green eyed prince)"Jo bhi, you are looking like a gadhi," Aanya retorted, finally managing to sit up in bed and shoot Anika a playful glare.
( Whatever you are looking like a donkey)With a laugh, Anika dodged Aanya's half-hearted attempt to swat her and made a dash for the door, with Aanya hot on her heels. "Tu ruk jo bhi ki bachi!" she called out, her laughter echoing through the room as they both rushed out together.
