COURTNEY'S POV:

It was 8:15am and I was at school. I was so sleepy I was up until 3 am. studying for the history test. I see Duncan, my boyfriend, come up to me.'Hey princess,' I give him a soft smile.'What's up with you?' He asked, looking concerned.'I was just up late last night,' I say, looking at him. He wrapped his arms around me and said,'It's okay, babe, if you wanna nap at lunch, then do' I laughed a bit.

DUNCANS POV:

I walked Courtney to her class, and I skipped my class. I wasn't doing so well, but Courtney always comes first. My buddy geoff was skipping with me he came over and said,'Yo D-man, what's up with you?' I look at him 'nothing man' he shook his head 'bro I've known you forever tell me what's up' I sigh and say 'my dad is back from that trip and it's been such a bad week' geoff nodded and said 'he sucks man I'm sorry bro' I laugh when he said that my dad sucks

FLASHBACKS

Duncan was 8 years old and was playing in the living room with some toys, and then he heard his parents fighting as usual, he tried to stop it but his dad got aggressive and he said 'you are such a stupid wife I have no idea why I married you and now our son is like you I can't believe it' and with that his dad slapped his mom. Duncan ran away crying and this still haunts him to this dad and from then on Duncans dad went out cheating on his mom and still was so abusive to her but she stayed married to him for the sake of everyone.

END OF FLASHBACK

ALSO TIME SKIP TO LUNCH

COURTNEY'S POV:

It was lunch now, and Duncan just got a phone call. I said to the group,'Is it just me, or is something wrong with Duncan?' Heather said 'not to me just the same old Duncan' everyone else agreed but geoff was silent 'geoff what do you know?' I said and that made everyone look at him 'I um mocha I would tell you but its very personal to him' I look at geoff concerned 'well then I will have to ask him about it later because I'm worried about him' we all were eating and chatting then Duncan came back looking upset he picked up his bag and said 'sorry guys I'm out court babe sorry I can't be at yours tonight' and with that he kissed my head and walked out I left my stuff and followed after him.

'Duncan what's going on please tell me' he continues walking 'Court I can't I love you but this is my issue and I'm afraid you can't help' I was trying to keep up with him we reach the school gates when he stops and looks at me and he takes a breath 'babe I love you and I appreciate that you care but…this is my problem' before I can say anything he kissed me and then walked off and I couldn't keep up soon he was gone. I walked back into the school. I was pissed so I slammed my hand on the lunch table and said 'geoff tell me what the hell is going on!'
Everyone in the cafeteria looked at me, and I said, "Mind your business!' Everyone else went back to eating. Geoff looked nervous and said 'it's his dad…' I look at him 'no,no Duncans in trouble no' I go to walk off but bridgette holds my arm 'Court he is strong he will be fine' after me trying to go they stop me.so I stay

FAST FORWARD 2 WEEKS LATER

DUNCANS POV:

I walked into school after 2 weeks off I feel bad I didn't tell anyone where I was I hope they aren't too mad and I hope court understands but it's been a hard home life I haven't been looking after myself properly I haven't ate in 2 days also last week I didn't shower and now I finally can pull myself to school. I walked over to my friends, and they all looked at me, and then one bossy cit ran up to me.'Oh my god! Duncan! Babe, you're back!' Courtney said so excited she wrapped her arms around my neck and she hugged me I put my arm around her waist and held her close. She then pulled back and looked at me annoyed 'look I've missed you but I was worried sick' I smirk at her 'aw was princess worried' she kicks me in the shin and I say 'I missed you too'

They all asked me questions I didn't answer. I asked them, "So what has school been like?"' Heather Laughed 'just the same but court has been skipping school and stuff' I raise my brow and look at heather 'and it's not like her and she won't say why' I look over at Courtney who said 'Heather sush but I think it's obvious why' I laughed and put my arm round her. About 15 minutes later the bell rang 'I'm skipping' Courtney says I looked shocked 'but you love English' she rolls her eyes 'not anymore the teacher is an ass' I laugh 'ill skip with you then'

NO ONES POV:

'So babe, where have you been for 2 weeks?' Duncan looked at her 'at home trying to help my mom with my dad.' Courtney nodded and said,'Has he been any better?' Duncan shakes his head 'worse its been a lot od hittingand things like that,' he says, looking away. Courtney turns his head back to her ." Duncan, you and your mom need to get away. Why did you both come stay at mine?' Courtney said hopeful.Duncan looks at her 'we couldn't and what about your parents' Courtney shakes her head 'they are out of town for a few months and I insist' he smiled at her 'thanks Courtney that mean so much'

TIME SKIP TO DUNCAN AND HIS MOM GOING TO COURTNEYS

COURTNEY'S POV:

I heard a knock on the door. I opened it to see Duncan and his mom. He looked at me and said,'Miss me, princess.' I roll my eyes at him and invite him and his mom in.i take them upstairs and I give Duncans mom the guest room 'you can stay in here for as long as you need' I say smiling she nods 'thank you dear I'm glad Duncan has someone like you' I smile and leave her to get sorted out and I walk to my bedroom and see Duncan sitting on my bed looking at me smiling I look and say 'what are you smiling at?' He chuckles 'you are so sweet to my mom and me and you look cute' I walk over to him and sit next to him 'thanks I love you' he wrapped his arm around me 'I love you more princess' then he kissed me

A MONTH LATER DUNCANS MOM DIVORCED HIM AND PRESSED CHARGES AND HE GOT TAKEN AWAY TO JAIL

COURTNEY'S POV: school

I was walking with bridgette and Heather we were talking about how me and Duncan have been then the boys come up to us Duncan takes my hand and it makes me look up 'hey princess' he says smirking I giggle at him 'hey' I look at him and say to the group 'we will see you at lunch' and just like that we walk off I smile because Duncan is so happy and I haven't seen him like this is a long time 'what are you smiling at babe?' He asked 'just that you are happy again.' he looks at me and smiles 'well I owe you a massive thanks for helping me,'i laugh.'As your girlfriend, it's my job, and I wouldn't have it any other way.' He smiles and gives me a quick peck on the lips.'You are sweet court, love you.' I smile at that 'I love you too, you big softie.' we both laugh.
