Disclamer: No hate to any player. I like every Indian player no matter what happen and strong condemn any ill words about them. I don't know when and why trolling became our culture for sports. We use abuses for them and their family, troll them, spread hatred against them and then hope that they will win trophies for us. Our players deserve trophies and they should win it but with such culture I don't think we as fans deserve trophies. We need to learn that criticism and trolling have difference of thin line but they have big impact.
Mumbai Indians won the toss and choose to bowl first.
Rohit Rohit Rohit
Rohit on boundary and that's out, Shubman Gill, captain has to go back.
They need to chase a low score.
Rohit was batting well with Brewis but got out.
It became hard and hard to chase the low score.
They lost the game.
He is trying to console himself after losing easy match.
"Rohit, Rohit, hotel aa gaya".
Rohit heard Piyush's voice. Rohit saw around him and realised that he had slept on the way from ground to hotel. He tried to find certain someone and saw Jassi sleeping and Hardik sitting with closed eyes. Realisation hit him hard that everything is not same as it used to be. He looked at Akash and Tilak asking them to tell Jassi and Hardik about their arrival at destination.
Any other day he would have gone to kids to appreciate them but not today. He wanted to applaud Jassi, tell Hardik his mistakes, praise Brewis for batting, scold Tilak for his refusal to singles and tell Tim that he can do it again like last time but he could not. He does not have that authority.
Everyone noticed Rohit silently moving to his room but no one dared to stop him. They wanted to tell him that he batted well but they could not. Hardik found Jassi looking at him as if his eyes are asking him to stop their Ro bhaiya. Hardik directly moved to his room.
Rohit in his room was waiting for one person. Not only today, he was waiting to meet him from day he joined MI camp or before but he was still waiting. He met him on field but that was his captain Hardik Pandya and not the Hardik who used to come to him during happy and sad times. He tried to make himself understand that his kid is grown up.
He can still remember the day when he came to know that Hardik is joining MI back. He was so happy. He was happy to play with Hardik under his captaincy but he was not happy with the way it all happened. He was not happy with the press conference. He was not happy when his grown up kid has not met him once. He wanted to go to Hardik and hit him hard but he has no authority. His kid is all grown up.
A knock on the door pulled him out of his thoughts. He opened the gate with a hope but found Ishan standing there with food plate looking at floor.
"Bhaiya, aapne dinner nahi kiya."
"Mood nahi tha."
Taking liberty, Ishan said, "aise kaise mood nahi tha, aapko khana pdega."
When Rohit looked at him, Ishan again looked down. Rohit badly wanted to say that it was only one game in which he scored zero but he could only nod his head.
When Jassi came to him, Rohit felt nice, at least his one kid is there with him.
Jassi- "Bhaiya, you okay?"
Rohit- "haan, mujhe kya hona tha?"
Jassi thought to shake his bhaiya but then he knows that his bhaiya will continue to fake it till the time it become real. He always does it whenever he fails to accept some things.
