~The Team~

India won the match! India won the final of T20 Worldcup 2024.

Arshdeep rolled the ball back to the bowler from deep mid-wicket. Hardik Pandya fell down to the turf and is seen sobbing uncontrollably like a child. Rohit went flat on his back - head down, slapped his hands on the turf 4-5 times. He was full of emotions. The Indian support staff runs all the way to the players to hug and celebrate. Rahul Dravid, Indian coach envelops Virat Kohli in a hug.

Rohit saw Virat and directly ran towards Virat. Rohit hugged him tightly.

"We did it, we did it", was the only thing Virat heard from Rohit.

Virat- "We did it, team did it, Captain."

Rohit's eyes moved to Hardik who was crying like child. He knew what Hardik was feeling at that time. He directly moved to Hardik and hugged him.

"We did it", Hardik said to Rohit while tightening his hands towards Rohit's neck.

Rohit- "You did it, for India, for team and for me".

Rohit moved to others to celebrate the win. He gave hug to Jasprit Bumrah.

Bumrah- "Hum jeet gaye bhaiya."

Rohit- "Finally, we won."

There he again saw Hardik giving interview to someone. Rohit went to Hardik and kissed him on his cheek. Hardik deep down his heart knew what was coming and he wanted it badly. He smiled and once again hugged Rohit.

Rohit- "Ab bas kar. Itna kon rota hai."

Hardik- "You are happy, hain na."

Rohit- "More than anyone else. I am proud of you."

Later, Indian team was celebrating in hotel. Rohit was over the moon. Finally his team won world cup. He saw how everyone happy was. He took his own time, absorbed every moment of celebration and moved to terrace.

After reaching terrace, Rohit finally let his happy tears out. He needs not to control them as no one is looking at him. He will always remember this win. It was much needed for him and his trust. He was not ready for one more heart break. He was remembering his journey from ODI world cup to T20 World cup.

"Dil hi tut gaya, aaj ke baad team India se koi umeed nahi lagayenge" someone's tweet after ODI world cup's loss to Australia flashed in front of Rohit's eyes.

"I really want four spinners there, I will not tell you the reason now but I will definitely tell you on 5th June 2024."

"BCCI has not chosen rightful team. This is not world cup winning team but team of favourites."

"Oye Rohit kya soch raha hai", asked Ravindra Jadeja.

Rohit- "You here"

Jadeja- "Kyu yaha sirf tu aa sakta hai?"

Rohit- "mene kab kaha?"

Jadeja while sitting comfortably near Rohit spoke, "So you and Virat decided to retire from this format."

Rohit- "Mujhe jo chahiye tha vo mil gaya."

Jadeja- "Who announces retirement in such manner?"

Rohit laughed and said, "Ask this from Virat. Who announces retirement in post match ceremony?"

"So you decided to retire just because I retired", asked Virat who came there with three coffee cups.

Rohit- "Coffee! I badly wanted it."

Virat- "Pehle mujhe answer de."

Rohit- "No, I had decided it earlier, before coming here."
