The next day, as the boys gathered for practice, there was a palpable energy in the air. The sun shone brightly overhead, casting a warm glow over the cricket field as they warmed up for the day's session.
Shubman, Ishan, Jaiswal, Rohit, Virat, KL Rahul, Hardik, and Shreyas exchanged knowing glances, a mischievous twinkle in their eyes as they prepared for practice. They knew that Shubman had gone on a date with Keerthy the night before, and they were eager to hear all about it.
As they stretched and limbered up, Ishan couldn't resist teasing Shubman. "So, Shubman, how was your big date last night?" he asked with a grin, nudging him playfully.Shubman's cheeks flushed with embarrassment, but he couldn't help but smile at the teasing.
"It was great, actually," he replied, his voice tinged with excitement. "We had an amazing time."
Jaiswal joined in on the teasing, his eyes dancing with amusement. "Did you two have a romantic picnic under the stars?" he joked, eliciting laughter from the group.
Shubman laughed along with them, his heart light with happiness. "Not quite, but it was still pretty special," he admitted, his gaze drifting off as he thought back to the magical night he had shared with Keerthy.
Virat, always one to jump into the fray, added his own quip. "I bet you were swooning over each other like love-struck teenagers," he teased, earning a chorus of laughter from the others.
Shubman rolled his eyes playfully, though there was a hint of affection in his smile. "Alright, alright, enough teasing," he said, his voice filled with mock exasperation. "Let's focus on practice, shall we?"
As practice continued, the teasing of Shubman showed no signs of stopping. Ishan, always quick with a joke, couldn't resist poking fun at his friend once again.
"So, Shubman, did you bring Keerthy a bouquet of flowers last night?" Ishan teased, a playful smirk on his face.
Shubman chuckled, shaking his head. "No, but I did bring her to a beautiful spot near a stream," he replied, unable to hide the fondness in his voice.
Jaiswal chimed in with a grin. "And did you serenade her with love songs under the moonlight?" he joked, earning a round of laughter from the group.
Shubman rolled his eyes, but couldn't suppress the smile that tugged at his lips. "No serenading, but we did share some laughs and great conversation," he admitted.
Rohit, always eager to join in on the fun, added his own jest. "I can just picture it now—Shubman, the hopeless romantic," he teased, prompting another round of laughter.
Shubman laughed along with them, feeling grateful for the easy camaraderie of his teammates. "Alright, enough teasing," he declared, though there was a playful glint in his eye. "Let's get back to work."
And with that, they returned their focus to practice, the banter and laughter of their teasing lingering in the air like a warm embrace. Though Shubman may have been the target of their playful jests, he couldn't help but feel grateful for the friendship and support of his teammates, knowing that they would always be there to lift his spirits, both on and off the field.
As the practice session continued, the banter and camaraderie among the boys only seemed to grow stronger. Despite the playful teasing, there was an underlying sense of unity and support that permeated the air, binding them together as a team.
Shubman, though the target of their jests, took it all in stride, grateful for the lighthearted atmosphere that helped ease the tension of training. He knew that behind the teasing was a genuine affection and camaraderie that he cherished deeply.
